Hmm, I get the feeling that THFC and GH aren't singing from the same hymn sheet

I've got this vision of AVB waving pie charts at Pellegrini when he's walking off at full time after another mauling, crying "Please you must see these Manuel"

Didn't AVB's Spurs beat Manchester City 3-1 the last time the two clubs met?

Or did I simply imagine it?

You won the battle but when the war finished, you ended up playing on Thursday nights.

you know what is the most bizzare and funny thing about that..that you pay 26M pounds for a player who seems to score ONLY from penalty(except villa) while we pay only 16.4M for the BEAST

He scored 34 goals and 6 assists in 43 starts last season. We just play very differently than Valencia do. When our players start supplying him with chances he will score goals. That's why we bought him.

Btw congrats on making it through tonight, I enjoyed watching the interplay between your attacking players.

Considering Spurs create more goal scoring chances than any other Prem team, how many chances has Soldado missed this season ?

Surely if you're creating these chances, then it's your strikers who are at fault for not putting them away.

That's THFC's stats btw not mine.

We aren't creating many chances lol.

Seriously, GH, in your first sentence, you imply it's because he has to integrate into a new system and then you say that Spurs are going to change their system to suit him. Which is it?

I am going to suggest you look at Mr Negredo's stats for last season in La Liga and his stats for this season, so far.

Enjoy Soldadopen.

Last season Soldado and Negredo had pretty similar stats, even though they're very different players. I watched both teams in La Liga last season and I knew that Negredo was a striker more suited to the Premier League due to his physicality but I also thought that Soldado would be very good in our team because of his finishing ability.

According to THFC you are creating more chances than any other prem team.

You seem reasonable, unlike most of the spurs fans on this thread, would you rather Soldado or Negredo?

Well I don't know yet because I don't believe we've seen Soldado's best. We were linked to both in the summer, I was excited by getting either player because I had seen them both play in La Liga. Negredo undoubtedly would have come in and done better for us immediately, because he has the physical strength to get more involved in the game in this league and to hold the ball up more effectively than Soldado can, but at the same time we do have an entirely new front 5 basically and I think that when these players start playing together regularly they will create more clear chances for Soldado that he will score.

To be honest, I think his goal against Villa is the first time I can remember where he had a clear chance to score (ie just the goalkeeper between himself and the net). That definitely needs to improve.

Maybe, but that was Mancini's team, not this one.

You should have made the distinction that referenced Gaylord's specific reference to Pellegrini. But you didn't. As usual.

I'm done with you Mr Paul Yarden, with your shit stats and winding people up on this forum.

You grey, bearded sad twat.
