So pretty much the team Harry got to 4th place a couple of seasons ago has now been completely replaced by a much better overall team and manager.

Fixed.

As for Walker, it's laughing gas, who fucking cares? I don't see how this is even a story.

.

Then you would have improved on Harry's 4th place. You didn't

Improved on the points total to the point of it being the clubs record haul . Setting a clubs record points total in your first season is a bit of an improvement .

The media's going over board on Walker taking laughing gas, I've done it a few times, I more than likely would again if giving the chance. It just makes you fell a little stoned for about half an hour. It's not heroin or crack as some papers are making out. Daft to get seen in public doing it, as was granny shagger being seen smoking or Freddie Flintoff getting pictured drinking in the street.

Abit of a over reaction with the laughing gas.
I mean beckham used it for years before interviews, hence his voice, and nothing was said at the time

In a league your performance as a whole is measured against the other teams in the league. Your final position in that league is the key performance indicator at the end of the season. Being 4th best one year, then being 5th best the next is not an improvement.

However, you could say that other positive performance indicators are there - e.g. you managed to improve your goals tally, or your defensive record, or points tally. But holistically, you failed.

Any other season in the history of the premier league we would have finished in the top four with that points total. That was on the back of losing our three best players and bringing in a new manager. No spurs fan expected top four that season with the majority of us expecting to finish sixth or seventh, due to the transitional nature of that season. For us it was a relatively successful season. To call it a failure is disregarding a litany of important factors, and is, to be fair, an utterly stupid thing to say.

I know a few spurs fans and they had higher expectations than you claim retrospectively to have had. But still, it was a failure not to get champions league and only a blind fool would believe otherwise.

No doubt someone who knows their stuff has looked at where those extra points came from. Many have the opinion last year was a weak league, perhaps other teams regressed more than you did? But of course you're keen to see it in a most positive light.

Many seasons can be claimed to be relatively successful if you relate them to a poor one.

Harry's 4th place that didn't get us into the CL and therefore wasn't a significant achievement? Harry got us CL in one season, which was before City really became a force in the league, and when Liverpool was utter shit. And the other years he was here he never achieved it again. He was sacked because for two years in a row we suffered utterly embarrassing implosions in the run in.

I remember in his last season we had a game against probably the world Villa team in years at Villa Park. It was the second last game of the season and a win would have pretty much guaranteed us third place, because Arsenal had just drawn with Norwich at home the day before. So a win would have meant we could overtake them going into the last game of the season. Instead, we end up drawing a game that would have probably been easier than a CL qualifier. I even said before that game, if we couldn't beat a Villa team that was fighting relegation (and who had even lost to fucking Bolton at home the week before), then we didn't deserve to be in the CL and Redknapp should be sacked, which I'm glad he was. Deserved it for having his head turned by the England job which he didn't even get in the end.
