Bog brush head going to QPR on loan. You Spurs fans must be delighted. Never a PL quality defender in my opinion. If you could just get rid of Dawson and Walker as well, and replace them with defenders who know something about positional sense, you'd be laughing.

It's probably just me, but I was surprised Assou-Ekotto dropped down a division. Still think he's Premiership quality. I'd probably have him as back up to Clichy if we'd have sold Kolarov.

Always thought Assou-Ekotto was a decent left back. He got a bad injury and went off the boil after that.

I agree,he's a superior player to kolarov and would have been a better option for us.

As above though,his off field attitude to his profession is strange.

As someone said he never got the form back after injury. He is our best left back for 20 years. He could switch off now and again but 99% of the time he was pretty solid and got forward well. I don't think AVB gets on with him that well either. Rose and Walker cannot defend well so it's an odd choice for him. Our full backs aren't the best.

BAE doesn't watch any football and it's not really his passion. Some of his interviews are fantastic to read though. He basically makes fun of most footballers who think they're god with the wages they're on. As he said they aren't saving lives or anything they're just good at kicking a ball
