here's another one - £3/4 billion spend and 2 league cups

another north london team crowing in september - never learn

Actually, Spurs have a net spend of £131,873,820 during the 22 seasons of the Premier League.

And as our current squad cost £214,794,000 to assemble, it means we've actually made a profit of around £83m from player trading.

So quite where you get the figure of £750,000,000 spent is a mystery to me.

Oh... and just stating facts isn't "crowing".

I still think the title favourites will be between either Chelsea or City.

I know why the Spurs fans come here, because they don't have a proper forum to call their own and nor do Arsenal - find it very strange that two big clubs don't have one main forum, but Wist Ham have KUMB, so what is it Mark? Is it really an admission that you'd rather chat to northern monkeys than southern jessies?
It's really strange that Spuds have not got a decent forum I reckon one of the Spuds fans should set one up in the style of Bluemoon

You've made this same argument time and time again. You simply can't claim an £83m profit in player trading just because your current squad cost £214m to purchase. Is Gomes really worth the same amount now as when you bought him for example? Of course not, so it's an entirely pointless exercise.

The issue of "spent" has been discussed over and over, the figure of £750m will come from the amount Spurs have actually spent, as in the amount of money Spurs have physically handed over to other clubs in order to receive their players. That isn't "net spend" it's gross spend, but spend nonetheless.

Yes but mark is never rude on here about us, so he is welcome. Spouse jim is ok too.

They are more than Welcome (I especially like Marks pro England stance which is a breath of fresh air) but it is quite amazing just how many spurs supporters we've managed to collect.

On Topic: They really do have a lot of quality players now, I'd suggest it's only at fullback they have any sort of real weakness, dear god the top four look hard to pick.

exactly! £750m invested in the quest for trophies - levy might be good at balancing the books but the primary aim of a football club is trophies - isn't the game all about glory? show me a glorious balance sheet

Spurscommunity is very good and the posters are on the sensible side, it's just too small compared to others. Ignore the match day threads of knee jerk reaction. I'm banned from COYS due to an argument with the owner which was outside the forum. There is also Glory Glory which is huge, but I only hear negative things. There are plenty of boards but I don't think there is a main one. There are plenty of numbers for them all

Glory-Glory.co.uk :
Posts: 430,127 • Threads: 3,849 • Members: 1,822

Bluemoon:
Total posts 5716705 • Total topics 180129 • Total members 56748

So Bluemoon has thirteen times as many posts, forty-six times as many threads, and thirty-one times as many members. So your huge board is tiny compared to this place. We've actually got several other forums around the size of Glory-Glory - some slightly bigger, some slightly smaller. So, my point stands, Spurs do not have a main forum anywhere near this size despite being a similar size club.
