That looks like some side!

No offence but that team isn't vastly different to the team that lost to a striker less W.Ham. Sandro will create no more than Dembele did, possibly less. Lamela is struggling to cope with the rigours of the premier league at this moment in time. In your favour Villa are not as resolute in defending as the Hammers are so Soldado might actually get a goal in open play.

I think Rose and Sandro (or Capoue) will make a big difference. We definitely were missing a defensive presence in midfield and we lacked width on the left due Naughton and Sigurdsson occupying those positions. We seem to be better away from home so I would be pretty confident with the team posted above.

He is top notch and saw him a few times on ESPN last season but he is going to take a while to adjust to the rigours of this league. The pace of this league is ridiculous in some games and physically it's very demanding.

Still think you bought the wrong striker, you should have gone for Negredo, an upgrade on Adebayor.

I don't think Soldado can be the lone man upfront in your set up, hence why he barely gets games for Spain.

We may have gone for Negredo but maybe City were in for him first.

I don't think we would have usually signed a 28 year old striker for £26 million but when you gain a £85million windfall, You have to replace the obvious defect in the side which in our case was a top class striker and I still reckon Soldado will come good despite his early struggles.

Just reading the mail on Sunday and the part where spurs want to sign chicarito from the rags. It goes on to say that spurs want to offload Manu but it's complex as we are still paying a huge chunk of his wages! Thought we had got rid of him completely?

He's a Spurs player, and I remember that there was talk of a signing on fee for Adebayor which made up for a shortfall between the wage City were paying him, and the wage Spurs were paying him.

So no, I don't think we're paying him anything now.

I honestly think that's an average team, Paulinho and Soldado will be the flops of this season

Im now laughing at people who think Paulinho's better than Fernandinho, same with Soldado and Negredo, spurs have splashed the cash, but not on top quality players who will make a big difference. fifth is beckoning, and once again the net spend excuses will be around the corner.
