Has it been determined whether THFC and Jepsen are same person yet? Either way I'd be curious, as they/he/she have time to spare, how they value City's squad so we can have a meaningful comparison?

I've never placed a value on what I think Tottenham's squad could go for on the open market, I only list how much they actually cost us.

Oh... and I only ever post as THFC6061.

I believe you, although I may be in a minority of one! What do you make of Jepsen's valuations as you're not the same person?

How is Walker overrated when everyone says he's crap? He's not nearly as bad as some of you make out. Spurs fans do it to - Walker is often a scapegoat for poor performances and shoulders more blame than he deserves.

Personally I think Walker is pretty decent but he isn't as reliable or good as Zabba, and in my (obviously biased) opinion, Richards.

However, some of those valuations are verging on insane, that's the sort of thing a 12 year old would post after an unexpected win against one of the European giants.

£20m for Walker? Is he being serious here, or just taking the piss? Alongside Cleverley-inho and ''Duncan'' Jones, possibly the most over-rated player in the PL. I note he lists Walker's two assets as being Young and English; no mention of being particularly outstanding (or even good). I'd have Zabba or Micah ahead of him all day long.

Not saying I disagree with that necessarily, but then why do England managers keep picking Walker instead of Richards? Richards usually doesn't get in the squad.

Micah has been injured for nearly a year, and is just coming back. Before then Capello just didnt rate him (how anyone rated Kelly over Micah is beyond me) despite even Rags saying he should be in the England team, let alone squad. In the early part of 2011/12, Micah was a beast but didnt get a look in.
Micah is fit now, and if he stays fit, he will go to Brazil, although whether he gets past Walker I am not sure. He's a better defender than Walker, but is good going forward as well, but not quite so good as Walker, and Walker has the shirt. And Walker also has the advantage of being a club team mate of Townsend who should become a regular in the England team.

It was Woy not Capello who took Kelly over Micah last summer. So i am not as sure as you. I actually think Johnson is Woy's first choice rb, Walker his second, Micah if selected will go as a utility defender. That could change but if all fit i doubt it.

I think that they are somewhat inflated, but I'm certain that Spurs would see a very decent profit should all our squad be sold-on.

But as they won't be, it's rather academic.

I haven't a clue; it's obviously not just down to footballing ability. Oh, and getting picked for England is not a sign of a great player. Unless you're saying that every player currently playing for England is of a very good technical quality.

His positional play is iffy at best (tends to rely on his pace to bale him out of trouble). And he's prone to rash decisions (see his booking last friday?). A stupid, needless booking that cost him his place last night. But hey; you won't see anything wrong in him as you're a Spurs fan and are biased towards him. And before you throw your toys out of the pram, I don't mind a fan being biased. We're all biased to some degree or other towards our teams.

ha bloody ha jimmeh.

Although I wouldn't ever spend 20m on Walker the amount is around about the price going for England internationals.

Milner, Downing, Henderson, Carroll, Jones have all had fees of around 20m or more. I doubt any are truly worth that value

Baines, Shaw, Morrison have been valued around the 20m mark too.

20m sounds about right I reckon in this mad world

Any of the Spurs fans get to see how Lamela did for Argentina?

I heard he was replacing Aguero for the game against Uruguay

A bit of spare time to kill before the game against Villa, Values of our 1st team (Currently)

Lloris - £30 million (Top 3 GK in the world)

Walker - £20 million (Young, English and RB's are rare)
Vertonghen - £30 million (One of the best in the world)
Dawson - £7 million (Solid PL centre back)
Rose - £9 million (England U21 Left back, Was Sunderland POTY)

Paulinho - £30 million (Very good, Frank Lampard ghosting ability and better than Fernandinho IMO)
Dembele - £17 million (Fantastic player but injury prone)

Townsend - £27 million (21 year old England international)
Eriksen - £25 million (21 and a class act, Was cheap due to his contract)
Sigurdsson - £15 million (Scores goals from midfield and has lots of ability)

Soldado - £18 million (Dropped and needs to improve)

Subs:
Capoue - £19 million (Immense, Strong and like Kompany in a defensive midfield role)
Lamela - £20 million (Dropped and needs to improve)
Defoe - £10 million (Guarantees PL survival, Like Darren Bent but he is old)
Chadli - £5 million (Been crap but plays for Belgium so a decent player and he's young)
Sandro - £20 million (Low value due to injury issues)
Adebayor - £5 million (Wages too high but a good player on his day)
Vlad Chiriches - £8 million (Romanian hero and one for the future)

Squad Value: 325 million

30 million for a keeper? only Buffon has went for that much in the history of ever. The second most expensive goalkeeper was less than 20 million. 30 million for Vertonghan? how much would Kompany go for if Vertonghan's worth 30 million? some of the valuations are bonkers.
