He has underachieved so far this year (as you'd kind of expect with an entire team of new players to gel), but that really isn't the point. It was the vitriol and sheer quantity of "articles" after one bad result. It was pretty clear that they'd just been waiting for something to happen so they could unleash their hate. There are many managers who've done just as bad, or far worse than AVB, yet haven't gotten a mention, yet he was getting 3 or 4 a day calling for him to be sacked. There is so many personal attacks on him and such a biased view of his reign. I could go on all day about it tbh, as my father in law is a Spurs fan and it's pretty much all we ever talk about, but his treatment in the media, in particular the DM, has been outright shameful.
Reminds me a lot of what happened to Benitez, and I imagine it will end the same way for AVB unfortunately. You can't come into our league and manage one of our top clubs if you're foreign, unless you intend to befriend the parasites and offer them endless pathetic soundbites like Mourinho did. Pellegrini will be next as soon as we go a couple of games without a win unfortunately.

I have no sadness for him. Media are always going to be harsh on a manager that wasted 110 million on average dross.

Agree with everything you said. their overpaid for 21 year old who was let proven and on 28 year old who not done the buisness in front of goal. He also made mistakes attacking fans and blaming the media. Unless he gets his act together and get more better in front of goal then he won,t last the end of the season. He been biggest underachiver of the top six.

I think he thought he'd have a comfier job at Spurs and be allowed to build how he wants but it hasn't happened for whatever reason and people forget that he's the guy who replaced the media darling 'arry and there are still some hacks out there who will stir trouble for him at every opportunity.

Mate don,t feel for him to much. He earns more money then most of us could dream of . He knows managerment is pressure and if he can,t handle it then he needs to get out of the kitchen.. He spent money and he has to be one that stands up and be counted when things are not going well.
