The Tottenham Thread (Merged)

Said it earlier this week but Spurs lost far more than just the 3 points against the Arse and i can seriously see them imploding.

I would quite like spurs to finish top 4 this season but cant say Id lose any sleep if they didnt, would just show Harry up for the overrated manager he is imo

LOL@ 'Arry breaking "a gentlemans agreement" with Moyes over Saha.

Louis Saha is fit to face his former club Everton as we travel to Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday.

The French international striker missed Wednesday night's FA Cup replay win against Stevenage after having fluid drained from his knee after Sunday's defeat against United.

Louis trained on Friday and is back in the frame to face the team he left for the Lane on January transfer window deadline day.

Harry Redknapp said William Gallas will also be available but Michael Dawson and Aaron Lennon miss out.

As we confirmed yesterday, Michael faces 10-12 weeks on the sidelines after rupturing ankle ligaments against Stevenage.

"It's such bad luck for him, he's fantastic player and a great guy, a real professional," said Harry. "It's a big loss for us.

"William should be okay, he's had calf injuries all season but hopefully he's back to fitness now.

"Ryan Nelsen came through the other night, I was pleased with him and we've got Younes and Ledley, hopefully we can keep Ledley fit.

"Aaron Lennon picked up a hamstring injury against Stevenage, he's not available. He shouldn't be out long. He's going for a scan today (Friday), but he doesn't feel too bad."

That's all I could find but it is on SSN, Moyes was asked in his pre-match interview about Saha playing tomorrow, Moyes said he and 'Arry had a gentlemans agreement Saha won't play but in 'Arry's, twitcher said he will play Saha.

More fool Moyes for taking 'Arry's word on anything!

But is this the sort of thing the would be England manager should be getting involved in??

This 'agreement',just how legal would that be?? and now that its been brought to the publics and, more importantly, the FA's attention, what will be done about it? regardless of whether he now plays or not?

Where are the Moyes quotes?

Don't think a clause like that can really exist as he is our player, on a short term contract as opposed to a loanee.

I don't think Moyes would be naive enough to get in to the whole gentleman's agreement thing.

Just heard the relevant interviews on TS re this, Moyes is under the impression there is a 'Gentlemans agreement', apparently 'Gentleman' don't need anything other than a handshake on these tyes of things.

Be interesting tomorrow mate.

And this particular case there aren't any :-).

Moyes is a fool if he took Harry's word on the time, let alone a "gentleman's agreement."

Hmm, should be. Would rather see Ade partnered with Defoe anyway at the moment.

Managed to get a ticket for this, would seem a bit stupid not going to this one as I am Liverpool based for my sins.

I'm hoping we give Parker a bit more of a rest, go with either Sandro or Livermore, alongside Modric in the centre, as opposed to being stuck out wide.

Disappointed Lennon is out, I know he isn't massively rated on this board but I think I prefer watching him than Bale, less hype, a much harder worker, edge of seat kind of player but has been restricted by injury problems so far this season.

Laughable people want Harry done over a supposed "gentlemans agreement" it's not a binding contract.
Yes it is laughable, but its not exactly painting a pretty picture of how your club conducts itself when it comes to business. First we had stories of Modric's agreement with Levy and now we have Harry pulling a fast one on Moyes.

"Tottenham Hotspur - Best screw you've ever had."

That's what agents and contracts are for. Modric's agent or himself didn't write that into their contract at all.

I don't see why we should bend over for clubs so they can benefit. Chelsea would be above us if we sold them Modric

Everybody and his dog knows that Spurs runs a tight ship, which for some odd reason upsets a lot of rival fans.

It's not a case of wanting "Harry done" it's more a case of providing proof of what a despicable, lying, two faced **** he really is.
I detest Moyes, but if he is telling the truth then there is no way you can defend 'arry. Breaking a gentleman's agreement is pretty fucking low.

On a side note, it was interesting to hear Gareth Bale admitting that he'd managed to get two players sent off this season by diving. I hope it backfires hugely and the cheating, monkey faced **** doesn't get a single favourable decision for the rest of his career.

I haven't seen 'arry's media bumchums make much of an issue about that either.

That was him being misquoted, and Talksport have been critizcing Bale all day long, but according to everyone on here, the media loves Spurs and the media hate City and the FA have an agenda against them.

As I said a gentlemans agreement is not binding.

For some reason people find it perfectally acceptable that Ashley Cole has secret meetings with clubs, Berbatov can be driven away in Fergie's Bentley and our director of football Arnesen can be tapped up under contract too, but a break of a Gentlemans Agreement is deemed illegal.

Everyone knows that Mourinho, for instance, is a ruthless bastard. He doesn't even try to hide it; in fact he built a reputation on it. Harry gets up to this shit and is the first to cry and moan to the press when it happens to him. Its the hypocrisy. Ferguson is another offender for this, but even he isn't as bad as Harry with the constant whining.

Why is it necessary for Harry or Levy to make these "Gentlemen's agreements" when they have absolutely no intention of living up to them? Its dishonest and in bad faith.

FYI, the "agreement" was that Spurs woudn't use Saha tomorrow if there were other options available.

We have Adebayor and Defoe both fully fit, so I can't see Saha playing at Goodison Park anyway.
