Look, it's a tottenham thread, which gives me a right to talk about what I wish regarding tottenham, if you don't want tottenham fans talking about tottenham related things on here, don't come on it, or dont make a thread about us. It should be a compliment for yous that we come on here as your mates have said. And he can call me an idiot but I can't call him one? And whats wrong with my name? When I joined the forum the Mods obviously didn't have an issue with my name. And when did I ever mention Harrys court trial?

This^^^^^^^ If these were rags, they would be long gone.....c'mon mods, flirt 'em. Let them start their own forum ffs...

We wouldn't be here if there wasn't a Tottenham thread and majority of fans talk sense.

Shouldn't you be at school?
My school uses iPads instead of school books and thankfully haven't put a lock on this.

It wasn't a good challenge, it was a sort of lazy prod of the ball with most of the momentum coming from Di Santo, not that that justifies it at all. Has there been any news regarding him? Could have been a nasty one but he did walk away from it abeit gingerly.

Edit:
Apparently Probert saw it. A stupid rule I know but thats the way it is at the moment. Not sure whether he saw what could have been viewed as a stamp/kicking motion by the lad who handballed against you lot on Niko. The ref was very lenient last night.

To be honest, we've got lucky with Assou-Ekotto not getting a ban. Worse than Kompany's but received nothing, I can see why you's are annoyed. But its not just Benny there's been a few gone without punishment, is their anyway city could ask the FA why kompany was punished for a lesser tackle than several others?

That's basically it! Would love a season were United dont get all the decisions and see where they end up finishing!

It is a bit of a joke that just because a referee says he sees it nothing happens. The FA should be saying, you may have seen it but you are wrong, it is a bad challenge and your off to the conference for a few weeks and he's getting a ban. They soon changed the rules when they dealt with Ben Thatcher, and rightly so, but the refereee dealt with it at the time.

Referees - a boys only club where they keep everything in house. Does Riley actually have the power to mete out justice to these plebs? I doubt it and it would never be used against one of their own
Fookin cowards the lot of them

Exactly. The referee apparently saw Crouch's eye-gouge but didn't deem it worthy of a punishment. The FA should be hauling the ref in and asking him how the hell an eye-gouge isn't worthy of a card. Ditto with Van Persie's elbow - how the ref didn't think there was anything in that one when he had clearly lined Cuellar up is beyond me.

I've not seen the Assou-Ekotto tackle yet but it sounds like it was quite a nasty one. Spurs have been on the end of some shocking decisions this season to be fair though.

The trouble now is that we're going to be looking at every challenge and judging it against Kompany's. It's quite possible that Probert didn't see the BAE tackle properly so was unsure of how bad it was but generally speaking all I want to see is a bit of consistency from refs now with regards to all 2-footed tackles. I thought we were going to get that consistency when Mike Riley last week told all refs that tackles similar to Kompany's must be punished with a red card. Then the first high-profile game following that saw Liverpool play United in the FA Cup and Maxi not even getting a yellow card for a 2 footed tackle. This despite the referee clearly seeing it and blowing up for a foul!
