There is the thought process that the transfer window should be closed by the time the league starts, I think it would make a lot of sense. Doubt it will happen though.
But yes, as you said, it was our own fault we did so poorly in those two United games. Scott Parker and Ade could have made a lot of difference, but Levy likes to leave it until the last minute, like I'm sure we'll do in this transfer window (if we do anything at all.)
