Re: Anybody worried about Spurs?

yeah and the second leg but i keep saying to myself if it all goes wrong, we have got enough time to pull it back when yaya and vinnie come back.

Glad to see everyone else sharing my views, was expecting to get abuse.

Also worried about the league unbeaten record at home as Pigeinho said.

Not having Adebayor is a massive blow for them. He's been instrumental to their play this year. Now they have a striker that can contribute to build up.

When Ade doesn't play, they don't look that great.

And also, Ledley King is injured for them. That is to them as losing Vinny is to us.

I don't fear Spurs. They can be tactically negated easily i.m.o if you cut service from the wing. Bale could only get past Zaba once last time IIRC.

I was discussing Spurs with a scum fan at work over Xmas. We expected them to be 2nd by the time they played us. After us they have all their hard games up to 24th March when they are away to Chelsea (between us and that they have Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool away, Scum and Newcastle at home). If at that point they are within a few points then they are a real danger cos their run in is relatively easy after the Chelsea game. Taking our game out of it I can see them losing the 4 big games at least but if I'm wrong then they are a massive threat.

Why is there a stupid league table going round of 'the table since the end of the last transfer window' saying Spurs would be 6 clear. That table is worthless cause it is manipulated to take off two games they lost fairly. It'd be like a Sunderland fan posting the table since O'Neill took over. Or us posting the table up until the Chelsea defeat. I.E Pathetic.

There is the thought process that the transfer window should be closed by the time the league starts, I think it would make a lot of sense. Doubt it will happen though.

But yes, as you said, it was our own fault we did so poorly in those two United games. Scott Parker and Ade could have made a lot of difference, but Levy likes to leave it until the last minute, like I'm sure we'll do in this transfer window (if we do anything at all.)

This is bang on much like utd they have a lot of tough away fixtures yet to play. 1st half season fixtures for both teams relatively kind in that respect.

2 United games??? If you mean the games against us and United, Parker may have helped to keep the score down but Ade wouldnt have had a sniff at United or been allowed to play against us.
