The Tottenham Thread (Merged)

I've heard it on talkshite this morning, 5Live at lunchtime and I believe Football focus had a 'arry love in as their main feature today. Thing is, when it's about spurs doing well the media gushes all over them, but when it's about us doing well, then praise is given begrudgingly, if at all.
The London (Landan?) based media have always loved Spurs. Some things never change.

They have Liverpool, Newcastle, Arsenal and United coming up. Long way to go for Spurs and those games could see them slip down the table sharpish.

Untrue, they used to mock us for decades. When Ardiles, Francis, Gross, Santini, Hoddle and Ramos were in charge they were always quick to dig the knife in and take the piss. Comparing us to our neighbours, who admittedly were twice as better.

It seems to piss Liverpool, Arsenal and City fans off that Spurs are now getting praise. I don't know why. Would you rather it be the same United and Arsenal loving that has blessed the papers for the past twenty years?

Crouchino are you looking forward to being shafted by dodgy refs now theres 2 reliteively(sp) new teams fighting for the title?

Only sort of. When we were flying, we were only getting a fraction of the praise your lot are getting now. It's only the deluded on here that don't think you deserve ANY praise (hate to say it, but you are motoring right now); all I'm saying is that a bit of fairness from our delightful media wouldn't go amiss.

Have a feeling this is going to be Stoke all over again.

The corner for their goal was quite clearly a goal kick and another Ade goal disallowed for being offside when he's on (not as horrific as the Stoke one though to be fair)

Hoping Harry gets them fired up for 2nd half.
