Back to footballing matters...

Saw someone with a Liverpool Henderson shirt on today, it got me thinking.

"Hendo"= 20m

Sandro= 8m Parker= 5m Huddlestone = 2.5m Livermore = Academy product

totalling in 15.5m

I know it'd be pretty easy to do the same with Liverpool's cheap players compared to say Bentley for example, but it's hard to find a recent transfer for Spurs as bad as the Bentley one because at least with Zokora Bent Crouch Palacios we got a fair amount of money back or perhaps even a profit; It's not as if the "Hendo" example is a bit of an anomaly for Liverpool in recent times...A bit off topic with this and could probably have gone in the Liverpool thread....
'arry in prison = priceless

Looks bleak for him, I think if guilty a hefty fine may be the outcome. Forget football for a minute what is the point of jailing some old fella for a financial crime. He's in lumber because he's stashing cash so hurt him where it matters, take the cash back x 3, that'll hurt him I'm sure.
Prisons are overloaded as it is without shit like this.

Besides I quite like arry.

Lester Piggott is an example of how this can be dealt with.
He was caught and given an opportunity to declare everything, in return for an amnesty.
He did declare unaccounted monies but then HMRC found all the other stuff he didn't come clean about and that's why he went to prison

Huddlestone, now that's a name I've not heard in about a year. Is he still fat and shite?

His issue has been fitness for the last season and a half, rushed back after injuries time and time again so the week set backs become months etc etc

As long as they don't rush him back he will be a quality player, England needs a few midfielders with technique and vision. He is 25, he has got time to fulfil his potential imo.

-- Fri Jan 20, 2012 1:48 am --

we worked out that since Benitez arrived Liverpool have spent enough money to buy our best matchday squad plus a couple more of our most expensive players like Tevez etc.

they've really fucked up.

It's funny because I talk to a lot of Liverpool fans, and they are often the most up in arms about your spending, and as you said, when you work it out it is pretty grim for them...

great goal that. england haa cleverley already. thats technical excellence

I remember that goal, was with my dad at the game(loads of empty seats) and as soon as it bounced for him I went to him "this is going in", even my dad was taken aback by the quality, that's back when we were shite though 2bf.

Loved that goal from Thudd, he's scored a few crackers. Disagree with Andouble saying he is shit. Hudd has a lot of ability and probably one of the best passers at Spurs. Unfortunately for him it's going to be difficult to get back in.

I tell you who is shit, Jenas!!

I think that game where Hudd scored Stuart Pearce was the boss. I remember an old Spurs thread a lot of our fans were worried about Samaras`goal threat.

How times change, you can loan out a striker to a team wanting champions league football, you can win without a world class striker in a stropper, you can loan out another striker who scores against Barca and still have Dzeko, Balotelli and Augero in the mix. I bet some of your fans still complain though, Spurs fans do and it`s the best we`ve been for 25 years lol

Sadly Hundredstone is too slow and fat and has the mobility of a double decker bus in the Dakkar Rally. He´s also a dirty twat who leaves his foot in far too often

Good set of posters aswell as Viva Rivaldo and bcfcgaz.

It must be like walking a tightrope posting on a rivals' forum. I find their views interesting and don't jump down their throats if they have a valid criticism about City.

As I've said, injuries have stopped him developing for about a season and a half now, meaning that whenever he played he was not with the pace of the game. I think it'l take time but if he does come back to full fitness we have a quality player on our hands.

He has developed a fiesty edge to his game which os occasionally a good thing but can mess him up also, I think it was born out of injury frustration to be honest.

I can't speak for COYS as you have to sign up to view it, but if glory glory and the other one are anything to go by, it's no wonder they spend more time on here.

Shafter the Stokie and shackattack, Everton's lone correspondent to planet earth, are worthy of mention

I think its good other fans come on here gives a good perspective on things some blues get uncomfortable with it don't know why. On another note Bassong? Whats happened with him?

Bassong with Dawson was predominently the centre back pairing that got us fourth place. He was a beast when he first arrived. IIRC he had a couple of shaky performances in his 2nd season and got stuck behind Gallas Kaboul and King whenever he was fit, and since then he hasn't had a run of games and has looked uncomfortable as a result. I think if he were to play regularly he'd get his form back again but it isn't going to happen with Kaboul playing as well as he is, he is essentially our 5th choice centre back at the moment.

We football fans tend to forget past performances pretty quickly so he is now regarded mainly as shite amongst the Spurs fanbase but I still think he could be a top player. It's not looking as if that is going to happen with us though, he'll have to move on to get game time elsewhere.
