Other half texted me a Tweet saying 'Arry has resigned - apparently it's Sky Sports Twitter account but no news anywhere else. Anyone else shed any light on it? I'm assuming it's bollocks.

Anyway, great game today that could've spun either way to be fair. I love Balotelli but he's staring down the barrel of a retrospective 3 match ban for that stamp.

if it comes to that it'll be 4 matches. like vinnie he's already been sent off once this season.
Don't know rules for sure but Mario's red was as a result of 2 yellows whereas Vinny had 2 straight reds.
Any ban may be 3 games, maybe??

Think you're right DB - VK only got banned for 4 games as he had already received a straight red this season

beaten twice now aw obviously you are the best team in the world still though...lol

Media have got plenty to go on with this loss being against the run of everything that happened on the day fortunately. Expect much coverage about Balotelli assaulting 'little Scotty Parker' tm, Defoe nicking it at the end (but didn't), and Spurs playing the best football all game and not deserving to lose.

Something that has turned out with beautiful irony however, is the amount of times I must have read on here that Spurs haven't lost with King in the side, who ended up giving away the penalty which lost them the game. Su-fucking-perb.

The ref has seen it and deems it's not a foul? How can a panel change the decision now?

They cant...

How do you know the ref saw it bud ?? or are you just insinuating ??

I really don't like spurs so I am very happy we won it. Can't help but respect the style of football they play. Defoe is a fantastic player and bale will be world class if he continues to progress. Thoroughly deserve to be up with us challenging for honours and we were lucky to win today.....fucking buzzing!

I wonder if this hurts more than the 5-1. They've been telling us for months it would be different when King plays and now they have Super Scotty Parker and Modric is playing and not just a passenger this time.
Well we were without our capt and arguably best player. Also without our best midfielder and our second choice centre back and had to play Savic who clearly isn't ready for the prem.

You can argue about the stamp all day long but Spurs were still found wanting.

Told you flappers multiple times, they were never even in the race. Funny how the press were talking them up so much and its over already

Brilliant match in the end. Though I have just one observation to make:

After the 5-1 win, the Spurs' fans main excuse rolled out was that they missed a few key players like Adebayor, Parker and Sandro. Personally, I think Sandro hasn't played as big a part this season. Whether that is because he has been injured, I don't know, I think he has. But the players brought in were proven Premiership-quality players.

Now after we won 3-2, we were missing the best defender in the league, and in my (possibly slightly biased opinion) the best midfielder - Yaya Toure. Yet Spurs fans still won't accept that we are the better team. What will it take?

Sky showed it in slow motion and Webb had a clear view of the incident, if he does get banned I will start believing the conspiracy theory.

This a thousand times, even Harry was starting to beleive all the hype, he was nearly in tears in the post match interview, I think they will be good for third

Not quite as good as us and the t*ats but the best of the rest. I was quite impressed with them in stages today

Savic isn't ready for this level he needs to be loaned out and play a good load of games. We gifted them there way back in shot our selves in the foot. Can't argue with bale's goal though to be fair.
