The Tottenham Thread (Merged)

Spuds lost much more than just 3 points last week imo and I can see them suffering badly from now on in.

Hate to say it but cant see anything other than a rags win.

That said, win our games and who gives a fuck about their results!

86 points is the most the runners-up have ever managed in a 38 game season, that is one record that will go this year, especially if Spurs do their usual roll over and die act tomorrow.

Arsenal are only 4 points off them now, lose tomorrow and they could be in big trouble

but they're still good enough to finish 4th. How I'll LOL if Chelsea finish outside the top 4.

Come on you Spurs, win tomoz and I'll move you down in my least liked list from 2 to 3 with the Klan moving up a spot

I'm a bit worried about tomorrow, I reckon Spurs are turning out to be "flat track bullies." Even a draw would be triffic but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't think Spurs will beat the rags, Really hope I'm wrong but at least some good will come of tomorrow's game whatever happens. Either they will both drop two points to us (draw) or Spuds fall 13 points behind and categorically out of the title race ..and then there were two.

that's why it would be good if chelsea won today. It would be a big pressure on Spurs and they would have to "die on the pitch" tomorrow

The Arsenal result took care of that already, shirley.

The only way spurs will die on the pitch tomorrow is if they bang their heads on a rock while rolling over.

What's the latest on the Spurs injuries?

Just Parker missing for sure...

Harry Redknapp is positive on the chances of Rafa van der Vaart, Gareth Bale, Kyle Walker and Ledley King being fit to face United on Sunday.

Flying winger Gareth missed out on Wales’ friendly against Costa Rica on Wednesday after feeling tightness in his hamstring.

“We’ll wait to see how he is, but he should be okay,” reported Harry on Friday. “He hasn’t got a tear in his hamstring, just a little tightness. It shouldn’t be a problem.”

Rafa and Kyle also withdrew from international action in midweek after suffering ankle problems at Arsenal. Indeed, Kyle picked up his injury in training last Friday, managed to start at the Emirates, only to damage it again.

Ledley also felt his hamstring in the latter stages at Arsenal and came off with 10 minutes remaining.

“Rafa will train today and feels a lot better,” added Harry. “Kyle’s okay, he should be fit and Ledley’s not bad, hopefully he will come out to train tomorrow and we’ll see how he is.”

We do have a notable absentee from this huge clash though as Scott Parker is suspended after being sent off at Arsenal.

“It’s a blow for us, Scotty’s been in great form,” said Harry.

“But we’ve got Sandro and Jake Livermore and it’s a chance for them to step up to the plate and do the job.”

This is what I'm thinking. That last goal from the arse will hopefully kick spurs into gear tomorrow. Very doubtful but finger crossed

Not quite, Spurs are still pretty safe to take top 4 spot. If Chelsea won too, it would be a different story

3rd spot guarantees champions league football,4th spot means you have to play a qualifier,so winning tomorrow is important as Arsenal are now on their heels.

Yep agree, we see what happened to Everton a few years back, almost did with Spurs and Young Boys.

This is a first real blip of the season if you discount the first two games, but the way I see it is City and United are on another level so it weren't all doom and gloom.

We put ourselves in a good position before the difficult run of fixtures.

I still think Chelsea will hit form and Arsenal will have another few sloppy results.

I wish the season would end right now, I'm sure City fans feel the same. I'd love 3rd right now but would easily take 4th too. It's the hope what kills you
