The TV Quiz Show Thread

The American woman on Lightning this week must be one of the worst contestants on any quiz show ever.

Twice this week she’s had 2 minutes of questions fired at her and didn’t get any right.
I saw that, she was truly terrible! She didn’t know fucking anything at all. It was almost like she might be on the WUM but why would you portray yourself on tele as the thickest person that’s ever lived so thought it must be genuine.

Some quiz show on Ch4 and there’s 3 in a team and none of them knew when St David’s Day or St Andrew’s Day was.
I know David’s is on a 1st but can’t remember if it’s 1st February or March. I wouldn’t know either of those without checking. Nor St Patrick’s Day.

I didn’t even know that England’s Patron Saint was St Edmund until about 5 years ago.

I suspect they are putting hard-up actors on these shows posing as contestants.

If you don't celebrate it why would you care to remember it?

Don’t know the date of St George's day so damned if I know the date important to jingoistic sweaties and taffs.

I cant work out their logic for applying to go on any quiz show. Do they just think they can fluke it?

Can you be so thick that you don’t even realise you are thick? Does it also negate any self respect?

Edmund would have been a better choice to keep as England’s patron saint.

The days of patron saints, even if it is a stupid concept, was drummed into us at school. Assumed it was the same for everyone but it seems not.

In Junior school if you were in the cubs or brownies you would wear uniform on one of the Saint days

Meant to post this in the talk shite thread the other day but forgot.
Goldstein and Darren Bent had a head to head quiz on drive time.
Bent was asked to name 5 counties that end in shire......
He got off to a flying start naming Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire..... and then just froze..... the clock was ticking away, Goldstein laughing away and he just couldn't think of one more!
