- We went to Rotherham…
I think you'll note I didn't start it.
Normally the retort of a five year old.
I think you'll note I didn't start it.
What do you mean, "not needed"???
As in "I don't care if we fuck the economy, jobs and everyone who lives here". That sort of not needed.
And it's a great shame you felt it appropriate to try to politicise such a tragic event.
so none then - your aims and suggestions are the correct one but just about everybody responds to that question with " I pay enough tax". Well not if you want properly funded services clearly. Quick Google search reveals
The starting salary for police constables in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is between £19,971 and £23,124, rising to £38,382 at the top of the scale - achievable after about seven years. In Scotland starting salaries are slightly higher at £24,204, rising to £38,001 after about ten years' service.
They want graduates but -
According to the High Fliers report, "The Graduate Market in 2019", the median starting salary for UK graduates in 2019 is expected to be £30,000 for the fifth consecutive year.
You get a degree why start on sub £20k if you can expect £30k elsewhere?
This police officer was a traffic cop called to an incident involving 'Travellers,' apparently, which culminated
in his murder, yet the discussion always turns to politics. For as many years that I can remember, policemen
have operated alone, either in cars , or on the beat, but we're now supposed to ensure there must be at least
a dozen or so to respond to each and every incident. The poor bloke looks like he was either set upon, or run over, by this bunch
of scrotes, and I'd have thought the discourse would concentrate on this, not obscure political theories and opinions
on how shit the government is, but it always descends into the same arguments.

A post loaded with justification for a certain political stance. All these topics have a familiar arc.
Something terrible happens, a right winger starts a thread, which is really just a vehicle for the OP to engage in a incoherent rant about how we're all going to hell because of the moral failings of liberal, lefty blah, blah, blah.
A left winger wades in accusing the OP of false consiecousnes, the OP rebuffs any such suggestion, but lacking the wherewithal to rebuff the accusation resorts to childish insults.
Than someone like you posts something like this....
And the thread dies or is locked.

Nothing changes.
Such tragedies should be a thread where people can offer condolences
Unfortunately it was started in the politics forum with
"How long do we put up with filth doing what the fuck they want, and controlling our streets?"
There was one only course this would go after that, a discussuon of the causes of such tragedies and was loaded to become a politicised thread from the start.
Shame really as this should be in off topic and we can just pay our respects.
Because we have moved on to police numbers,i see you are touchy as to who has desimated themWhat do you mean, "not needed"???
