Anyone any idea what number we have hit, one arrived here today numbered 3786

My son joined last week and his number is 5340.

Imagine what the numbers will be if this season carries on in the same vein.

I would imagine we could more than double that figure in the next 18 months if we continue playing as we are doing!
What has also struck me is that there could be an explosion in demand for corporate tickets if United fail to make
the CL on a regular basis. I can see a lot of companies switching tickets. Most of their clients presumably don't
support either club but expect to be taken to "the best show in town". Increasing corporate numbers will help
keep the price down for the rest of us.

How many new season card holders will the club permit over the current 36000 threshold...?

If we are allowed 36000 with a capacity of around 48000, that's 75% ish..

In addition, we currently have allocated: 3000 seats to away fans which will stay the same, about 3000 corporate, which is going to increase on the second tier and 5000 general sale tickets, which they are likely to increase.

75% of the new capacity is around 47000 ish season card holders, an increase of 11000, so with that in mind, will the club be looking for a good 9 or 10000 new season card holders to possibly join the waiting list, before they build both ends....??

Annual report for 2012/13 season says we had 36,500 season tickets. This season we have more, but I don't know how many more.

We sold 36,500 season tickets in 2012/13 and raised the limit this year to stimulate demand for the waiting list by restricting numbers available for match day sales. I'm guessing we currently have c38,000 season ticket holders. If we assume we lose 2,000 season ticket holders each Summer for
various reasons (death, old age, moving out of the area, etc) we probably need about 12,000 to sign up for season tickets ahead of expansion.

38000 + 12000 - 2000 - 2000 = 46,000 with a capacity of 60-62,000

We have sold 5,340 as of about 10 days ago with the waiting list having been open for 3 months and 18 months still to go. I think we are very much on track.

Looking at your calculations, city would be stupid to not build both ends at the same time. My mate registered last night and it was at 5600. Like you said with 18 months to go, how many more people are going to sign up?

Generally season ticket holders don't spend much on match days whilst occasional fans and more particularly tourists will pay for the ticket at match day price plus the same again on souveniers, programme, food & drink etc.
So if it is revenue the club is after then I think there will be no more than 40k season tickets with the balance made up from match day sales which should be achievable provided we are the club to watch through continued success.
But I could be talking bollocks of course!

The 38,000 figure is purely a guess, I am not ITK. From what the club has said we do know we raised the limit this year above 36,500 ahead of stadium
expansion. The club has also said that they are looking to expand the number of cheaper corporate tickets (level 2 seats with private bar facilities),
standard season tickets, match day tickets and potentially away fan tickets. I'm thinking that they are looking to have a similar mix of season tickets
and match day tickets as we had in previous years. So we are looking at 75-80% of total capacity being season tickets. The way the waiting list is building up is an indicator to the club that it is realistic to expand both ends. That is why the club set up the waiting list. I'm guessing that if only a couple of thousand people had registered up to this point the club would have thought it was unrealistic to commit to expanding both ends. I must stress, once again, that I'm not ITK but when we first heard about the waiting list a lot of people on here thought that if we hit 6,000+ by the time
planning permission was granted we would commit to expanding both ends. From what I've read its cheaper building both ends together than one
at a time.
