The Waiting List

I'd guess L2 types would get first bite. Not sure who is next in line, if it is existing ST holders I reckon people on the waiting list will be struggling to get the cheapest ones.

Relocating level 2 first, then existing s/c holders then level 2 relocators get another chance at any vacated seats, then waiting list.
The thought would be that people relocating from level 2 are currently paying more and most would not go for the cheapest but the best they can afford.

Its a bit of a flawed assumption IMO.

It is a very flawed assumption because with this you will know where you will be sitting unlike value gold.

How much would kids pay in the extended areas?, presently the cheaper kids tickets only extend to the family stand.

anyone know?

Don't know but definitely need cheaper tickets for youngsters in new stands and not just season tickets. Prices for single games need to be cheap too or we will continue to lose atmosphere and have an ageing fan base.

There are concession prices as some of the blurb on the site says

Prices shown are for adults, concession prices will be available

But I don't know what they are

Thanks for the update. 350 added in 6 days :-)
So how many do they want on the list before they decide to build just the one or both ends at the same time...?

from the phone conversation I had, they will be definitely building both ends, so the stadium is symmetrical.

That's good to hear. Some of the communication suggests the timing of the North Stand extension is dependent on demand.

The evidence suggest they will. Cable supports covered by hoardings at both ends of the stadium.

However. (very rough figures)

Still 500-750seats to sell in South Stand level 3.

Still 1000-1250 seats to sell in South Stand level 1 and 2.(current away ends)

Still 6000 seats to sell in North Stand level 3.

Roughly 8000 seats to shift if both ends are expanded.

I don't think the club will have any problems finding buyers for both ends. 4k willing to pay the deposit would be more than enough to convince them that the rest will be sold when the stands are built.

Do we really need to add another 13,500 seasoncard holders? Do that, and there's no spare capacity at all for occasional fans. The percentage of season cardholders over the total capacity would be well over 80%. I think that's too much.

And it maybe that the away fan allocation grows? At the moment max away allocation for League games is 2,800. May grow to 3k plus. This seems unlikely at the moment with small travelling supports at City, but two factors may changes this:

1) Reduced ticket prices for away fans is on the agenda
2) A 61k stadium will be a big attraction for visiting fans. It will be one of the must go to away games.

Are the 4k new fans? Not just existing fans wanting to get a season card?

4k that don't currently have a ST. Add L2 movers, and people interested in season tickets that don't want to pay a deposit 2 years early and they'll get the numbers easy IMO.

The expansion will go ahead for sure - it is not in doubt.
Just if they both ends at the same time.

It's about 1 1/2 years till the expanded sections open, so 4,000 is a fantastic number and it's only going to grow. 6,000 would mean half of both new ends filled with ST numbers, which is a possible target for the club.

People have discussed our fan base a lot and its size... well that's 4,000 in a month or so taking our season ticket total to 40,000 (possibly even more as wasn't it said they added extra season tickets this year to cope with demand?).

Now just imagine tickets were 50% cheaper, just how big could we go stadium-wise?

IF (and it is a big IF) a significant amount of ST's really were a genuine 50% cheaper then 75,000 possibly 80,000 would be a realistic figure. How good would that be?!

Don't we get 10-12,000 non season ticket holders at most games? If the 4k are mostly people that are already going to every match it doesn't tell us much about whether we'll fill two new tiers.

About 7k non-seasoncard holders per League game depending on what happens with the away allocation.

Of course it's possible, and quite likely that a good proportion of the 4,000 who have joined to date are existing members who go every other week. Good point

However, if we end up with 45,000 seasoncard holders, which looks very likely, then that "footprint" will bring in children, wives, family and friends, and there should be no problem filling holes created elsewhere in the ground

One thing they perhaps could look at when the stadium is expanded is making it easier for seasoncard holders to bring a mate along. Switch seats for a match to somewhere where there's a spare seat alongside or nearby. A good way of introducing new fans.
