The Warriors or The Wanderers

got this thing where I'm collecting movie posters. It's Manchester. Not payin for full size. Both good movies

I'm reading a book at the moment on the Warriors and some of the cast had auditioned for both and were warned they could only be in one or the other.
Konrad Sheehan appeared in both as the Ducky Boy who snaps Perry's car ariel off and the leader of The Punks.

What book is that mate please??
Here is the book - it traces the origins behind the book, the differences between the book and film (in the book the characters of the Warriors are young teenagers, Marci (the girl from the Orphans who joins them) gets gang raped by the Warriors instead of following them).
It interviews loads of people on the set from top to bottom and the surviving main cast members (Rembrant died in the early 90's).

Really good anecdotes - they had to hire security to protect them from real gangs or pay off real gangs to go away, the whole film was shot at night / first thing in the morning so you can imagine the crowd that would attract

Also the love interest was with The Fox and Marci not Swan. But The Fox annoyed the director Walter Hill, always arguing with him, demanding this and that so Hill killed him off, thrown onto the Subway tracks along with the policeman he was fighting.
They then had to re-film bits with Marci and Swan as the item....
Marci also turns up wearing a coat and Swan asks her where did she get it from. During the scene where Swan throws a baseball bat to trip the policeman, on one take the bat hit Marci's arm and broke it! They improvised by having her claim to have stolen ithe coat so she could cover up her arm in a cast!
