Re: can we close the gap

Surely Chelsea are going to be f*cked soon, otherwise it makes a mockery of quad rotation. We'll cruise it!

Re: can we close the gap

Pressure is on them not us. Let's enjoy it!

Re: can we close the gap

I thing their pragmatic approach will haunt them. That plus 2 or 3 injuries and their down to the youth team.

Re: can we close the gap

Looking at their remaining fixtures, it's hard to see them dropping that many points (i'm well aware they've just dropped points where you wouldn't expect) It's going to take a near perfect final 12 games from us to have a chance which includes winning at Anfield, the swamp and WHL. We're certainly capable but i don't think it's something we can realistically expect to happen. I think it's a couple points too far. Would be devastating if that parked bus we played against at the bridge wins them the title

If we play like we did last two games then yes, we can beat Liverpool, they're still not free scoring team though they did improve their defence recently after dropping Lovren. Playing them 3 days after Barcelona is not good though.

We play them 5 days after Barcelona and they play 2 days after us.

Better that :)

Re: can we close the gap

Driving home tonight the thought occurred that the Paris racism storm isn't going away. It's getting worse and Chelsea are playing the team they hate most at Wembley next Sunday.

All it needs is one recorded anti-Semitic chant and all hell will break loose.

Don't get me wrong. This issue is far wider than Chelsea Football Club and they are not a racist club. However a pathetic minority are quite simply making them look stupid.

History proves that these sort of incidents eventually seep into the morale of the players.

As much as I despise Mourinho, he doesn't deserve to be associated with such idiots. However it would be ironic if his team implodes for something that isn't his fault.

You may be on to something with this. Undercover press will be all over this next week.

Re: can we close the gap

More optimistic after the 2nd half against Stoke and today's performance, but my head says the gap will back to 7 points after next weekend, never look forward to a trip to Anfield.

I Think we'll miss out on the league by 2-4 points unfortunately.

And I'll be blaming the home performances against Stoke, Burnley and Hull !

Always been a glass half full lad !!!!

How about we let the games play out and see what happens.
