I started to believe this when we beat Stoke, now I'm convinced. I can see us winning all of our last 12.

If it took yesterday to convince you, then I have to disagree.

I know were all enjoying what we saw yesterday, but lets not kid ourselves that all our remaining games will have opposition as poor as Newcastle (and they were poor). Look how much space was gifted to Merlin and Samir. That won't happen very often, if at all again this season.

From that game we can take 3 points, confidence and momentum, but much stiffer tests await.

We will drop more points along the way and so will the Chavs. I do feel though that Chavs will drop too many and we will sneak another close run race.

Although right to a degree, that space becomes more frequent when the big man is in the side and as usual, orchestrating the band. Yayas influence, as has been the case the previous 4 and half years, is paramount to our success... If he leads the charge like he has historically then we will win it, no doubt in my mind!!!

Champions go to LIverpool and get a result when they need to. They are 7th in the league FFS and yet we are still of the mindset that a result there is almost a miracle for us. We have to get that Anfield monkey off our back once and for all.

we don't seem to get much luck at anfield.

I know luck plays a part, but to an extent this is a mindset issue. Like how we used to lose at Sunderland every season, guaranteed. We are miles better than Liverpool all over the park and if Villa can beat them at Anfield, surely we can.

Re: The 'We Will Win the Title' Thread

we gave them a 2 goal start last season , and we murdered them after that , they were hanging on for dear life , only a mistake by a half fit vinny , gave them the game . They have Coutinho , Henderson , Gerrard , Markovic (or lucas/llalana), we have silva, nasri, yaya and dinho , we are light years ahead of them , f*ck the kop/atmosphere/wreaths/minutes silence and rodgers pre-match shankly speeches , we should be shitting all over the dippers and we need to start next sunday.

I am not confident we will win it, because we need Chelsea to lose twice more than us and that's a tough ask. We *may* have given us too much to do.

But I agree with you about Yaya - and Nasri too actually. When those three play, the opposition can't handle it. There's just too much danger in too many places and they are almost impossible to contain. When one of them is missing - and even worse two of them missing - the opposition have some hope of keeping tight to these players, and deny them space and time to create things. But when they are all playing, we inevitably create tons of chances which Aguero / Dzeko / Bony can capitalise on.

You reinforce my point re:yaya, no response needed other than the mental push he gives players around him, it's as clear as Buxton water, call him lazy, call him half hearted, however, the impact on others around him won't be measured until he's gone....

As for our winning it, there are a number of variables, personally I think Chelsea have a good few draws left in those fixtures, when our tails are up we tend to go on the required runs, momentum is the the key here... Win at Liverpool, which we should, then it's going to the wire.. We are also creaping up with the goal difference, only 3 in it now, same goals scored..not bad for a team that has been struggling (:

Even with previous seasons behind us, I think we've already run out of games. I think Chelsea may draw the odd game here and there, but we will lose the odd game still. I said yesterday winning every game may not be enough. Our run-in is harder starting next weekend.

you sound very confident of this chelsea side, have you seen them much recently in the league? they are there for the taking, they are far more vulnerable than we are told by the sycophantic papers.

Re: The 'We Will Win the Title' Thread

If we beat Liverpool we have a chance. If we draw or lose then the chance of success is diminished.

The difference is that Liverpool will be more up for a game against us than the current Villa side (a game they 'expect' to win).

We'll have to play well, and get some luck, we're capable, in fact we should be favourites, but....

Actually we don't need them to lose at all ;o) just drop enough points for us to pass them.

Their next few games all have potential for dropping points....

WHU A
Southampton H
Hull A
Stoke H
QPR A
United H

Everyone keep saying that the moaning one knows how to win games ugly, but the way he has his teams playing, if they don't get a couple of goals in front they are vulnerable to draws. Matic will be a big miss in 2 of those games.
