Will need to get 89 points at least.
So we need to (minimum) win 11 and draw 1, give over.

Yes.

We're not going to win it by not getting more points than last season.

So that leaves 87-91 pts. I think CFC will get at least 87, so unless we win it on GD again, it will take a LFC-esque winning streak from here on out

If we do it this year we'll have the measure of mourinho. With terry being 35 in december I think this might be his last good season before he starts to wane considerably. I'm hopeful at this stage

I think we will run Chelsea very close and I wouldn't be that surprised if we snatched it. If we do it will be a phenomenal achievement because for most of the season we've been handicapped in so many ways by poor form, tiredness, bad decisions and injuries. In fact I reckon yesterday was the first time all season we've had everyone available.

It's no coincidence that we are hitting our best form as aguero, kompany, silva and Nasri hit top gear and yaya returns. Suddenly all of our ducks are in a row but the margins for error are so little because of the 5 point gap. One more poor result could be the end.

It's going to be a thrilling spring again I think. We are the best team and the best squad but if we do win the league this year after all that has happened to hinder us they all deserve to be classed as heroes. Don't forget the champions league either.

Chelsea won't get 87 from here imho.

27/36 isn't a huge ask for them.

I agree, but I don't think they will get there, which is why I add imho :)

The first time we won the league we were out of it and United had it in the bag. The second time we won the league we were out of it and Liverpool had it in the bag. This season Chelsea were crowned champions in November.

Don't believe the media hype, as we well know the title run in is where we come into our own and we're masters at chasing down teams

And the season between those 2 we were behind and didn't catch up.

I sincerely hope we do catch them but that we have caught teams before doesn't make it and more or less likely that we will do so this time.

That's a mathematically pure answer, but I don't think it's accurate here. If we can be within 3 or 4pts going into the final few games, we have a great chance as Chelsea has a tough final 6 and they will majorly feel the pressure, after the media crowned them champions back in September.

Still don't think we will win it. :-( just gotta make sure we get second and have a proper squad revamp in the summer!
Correct. Unfortunately we won't win at Liverpool next week and from us being 17 points ahead of them at one stage it will be down to 7. Oh and Chelsea will regain their 8 point advantage. Sorry.

Firstly, I wouldn't back Chelsea to get a result at West Ham who were bloody good at White Hart Lane today and desperately unlucky not to get all 3 points. Secondly, playing without Yaya and with a half fit Aguero for only 20 mins and against 14 scousers on a rampaging run, we came very close to winning last season. They are worse, we have our full side fit (at least for now). All we need is a halfway decent ref.

The maximum points Chelsea can get is 96.
So, to get 87 points they can:
- lose 3 games (-9 points);
- lose 1 game and draw 3 others (-9 points).
- draw 4 games (-8 points).
and frankly that represents a bit of a collapse.

We have no room to manoeuvre as the maximum number of points we can get is 91.
One defeat takes us down to 88 points maximum.
Two draws takes us down to 87 points maximum.

Realistically we have to win 11 out of 12; or win 10 out of 12 and draw 2.

Lose against Liverpool and our hopes are nearly gone. Hey draw against Liverpool and we only have one more draw in the tank.
