The 'We Will Win the Title' Thread (merged)

Teams that lose 7 points to the likes of Stoke, Hull and Burnley at home, don't tend to win the title.

Our home record won us the titles in 11/12 and 13/14. This year we won't get close to that.

I would be amazed if we get within 5 points the way we are playing.

It won't be double figures .
But i agree you can't drop points at home to Stoke , Burnley and Hull .
Those games have cost us big time .
Plus captain Kompany started crumbling like he did 2013 .

1/4 of the season to go, and so many waving the white flag. I thought city fans were made of sterner stuff, well they used to be.

Look you might think everything rosy it isn't .
We have a captain that's been very poor since coming back from injury .
We have a manager that's lost the plot in 2015 .
Goes all gung-ho at Anfield .
Also plays the same 4-4-2 against Barcelona .
That doesn't work .
And also farts around with our defence every game .
The defence that's been a shambles most of this season .

Teams that lose 4 of their first 6 away games in a season don't tend to win titles either. They did last year.

Lets forget the title we just do not look like the team last year or 3 years ago, we just need to make sure we get the 2nd place, it's going to be tight, if Chelsea do implode and I don't think they will we need to be be hanging in to their coat tails.

I think this is the only way we can approach it. Just hope we start to pick up some sort of form
pretty soon. Starting with this game, hopefully.

All i have is hope.

Nope I don't, but I haven't thrown the towel in yet.

In our last 4 league games, we've won 3 lost 1, scoring 12 and conceding 3, so I don't see it as the crisis many want it to be. Of course we might not win it, but with 1/4 of the season left, I'd sooner get behind us, and see what happens, rather than slag everything, and everyone off.

By the way, there are more than enough miserable threads on here to post in, so why not leave this one for those a bit more cheerful ?

If we won all our remaining games we'd get mighty close but in all honesty can anyone see it happening? We are capable of doing it yes but such is the managers incompetence and some of our players attitudes that it's highly unlikely. We have been handed plenty of chances over the last 3 months and have pissed them all away. Not much good the fans believing if the players don't or just can't be arsed.

They need to concentrate on next game only.

Burnley away is not easy, they are in Championship with one leg anyway, what do they have to win hoping for a draw, they will try to win for sure.
Our defence will be under great pressure given how open we are and how we deny to change or improve it.
We will have chances to score need to be clinical and than no problem.

It would be crazy to drop points at Burnley while Chelsea wins again at home most likely, all this 3 days before we go to arca who just moved top of La Liga with a big win with another top class Suarez display and a boring Messi hattrick lol...

Barca result will be a very bad imo next week, we need to attack them how open it will leave us is scary, and we dont face Nugent there or Kramaric, but Messi, Neymar, Suarez. Going into that game with ana already big shit Burnley draw or loss, and then it would be Barca loss, Pool loss, Leicester win, Burnley draw, Barca loss in 5 games...
No way of coming back mentally from a series like that imo while Chelsea potentially 10 points ahead of us alraedy.

Its the worst case scenario of course, but vs Barca/Pool we expected something and got the worst case scenario...
