The Welcome To Manchester Banner Really Got To Fergie

Hated him during his time as manager but total respect to him for his achievements and the fact he hated us , that's what we want not a big love in.
PS I'll bet 90% of this forum read his book. It's obviously already of interest

More like 90% won't I'll say.

One of the greatest adverts in the history of advertisement. Something so simple royally pissed so many people off and yet, made many people laugh and not just City fans. Small time **** face called it, yet for all those years they had that banner up at the swamp.

It depends. If by read you mean pick up in Waterstones, flick to the index page, look up perhaps Sergio Aguero and then read that bit then yes I may be tempted...

I'm waiting for it to come into the library. I'll be first in the queue for it and I'm going to be colouring any pictures of him in. In purple. And,I'll be littering the pages with such observations as "Fergie is a piss-can" and, "Darren Ferguson is a wifebeater"

A nasty piece of work is that man. He was unsporting vindictive and spiteful. The fact that this man was knighted is a national disgrace.

His comments re City were quite laughable seeing he sponsored a banner at his own ground making much of our lack of success rather than focus on their own achievements. That was 'humour' according to them, double standards according to me. I remember even at the height of their success, most of their songs seemed to be about City. Who is obsessed with who?

Time after time they have taken the moral high ground over some City fans rather sad affinity with 'that song' with good justification, It does our club no good at all.

But what did they do a few seasons ago? " City's going down like a Russian Submarine" With reference to the stricken ship "Kursk". How many young men perished in that particular metal tube? "Humour" according to them, double standards according to me.

If the parents of the crew heard it at the time they must have thought it was f***** hilarious.

Having a debate at the weekend as to whether Slurgie was actually a very lucky manager. Lucky in the respect that he was given a long time, in todays game, to actually build something. He was very nearly sacked despite what he may have said consequently and when the monye exploded Ushited had already been spending big for many years and the gap widened each year. As soon as teams began to catch up, which did take 20 years he bails out. If he came to the swamp now would he be such a success. Would the media bend over backwards for him now like they did for all those years etc etc. When he started the club had all the power but as soon as Bossman and the wages occured the power shifted but by that time it was his way or not at all!

I wouldn't read a book by any football manager let alone an ex Rag manager. Boring shite.
