Anyone remember that mid 70s kids TV show Striker?
I'm pretty sure Kenneth Cope wrote that.
It's about a kid and his dad who live in a caravan. The dad is an ex footballer career ended by injury.
Joe Gladwin and the guy who played Don Brennan in Coronation Street were in it.
Yes deleted it until something more official is announced.^^^^^^^^Apparently this isn't true
It seems he's had a fall and is critically ill in hospital with a head injury.Yes deleted it until something more official is announced.
I wouldn’t consider "Grandad" as great stuff.Yeah he was on tons of great stuff
That's s a shock. What a fantastic team Villa were in the early 80s.RIP

They were an excellent side. Shaw, Withe Morley, Cowans, Mortimer, McNaught, Rimmer (replaced by Spink in the EC final) etc etc. Managed by laughing boy Ron Saunders. Was a fine player, part of a really good Villa side.
R.I.P Sire
So sad. My childhood hero. That's s a shock. What a fantastic team Villa were in the early 80s.

Not that it matters but Tony Barton was the Villa manager when they won the European Cup.They were an excellent side. Shaw, Withe Morley, Cowans, Mortimer, McNaught, Rimmer (replaced by Spink in the EC final) etc etc. Managed by laughing boy Ron Saunders.
Damn; you're right. Not that it matters but Tony Barton was the Villa manager when they won the European Cup.
I remember one of my first football memories was watching the vidiprinter in the early 80s and then Villa's score came up and it said Shaw 5 or might of been 4. I was only 7, 8 or 9 and I remember thinking what a player he must be. RIP Gary Shaw.So sad. My childhood hero.
When he gets the ball he's bound to score....
RIP.Saw him and his band supporting Gladys Knight years ago , very entertaining.Tito Jackson died today too.
I haven't as yet blamed it on the boogie.
