The "which famous person died today" thread

Sorry, very late but only just seen this thread.

For someone who was so good it’s a shame he didn’t become more of a household name. Naturally he’ll be remembered for Quantum Leap but that performance of in Dreams in Blue Velvet was mesmerizing and creepy in equal measure.

Read somewhere Scot Bakula saying how caring and supportive he was to the child actors (not in a BBC/Jim S way) during the filming of QL due to him being in the same situation

Sir Frank Williams has died aged 79.
A giant of F1 whose team won multiple constructors and drivers championships.
After years of financial struggle Frank finally found technical and sponsorship partners that propelled him to the top of his sport.
Not many will remember that one of his first sponsors was a Saudi furniture business....The Bin Laden family.
RIP

Yes the song music remember that 1976,music was my first love it will be my last.

Only just seen this.
He was a lovely actor, and I'm glad he had a long life.

The sentiment of that song were spot on but it was terrible wasn’t it?
Same melody as Abba's I Have a Dream. The bit that goes;

I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me

Same as:

Music was my first love
And it will be my last
Music of the future
And music of the past

John was 1976, Abba was 1982.

John could've sued them.

I notice that a lot of good people have been dying lately. Hope that they are better in that world and they fulfilled their mission. RIP Bob Dole, legendary statesman

Apart from the similarity of those examples being shit limericks, they are about as dissimilar as you could get.

They don't seem similar but i once watched a video where it showed Kylie's " I Should Be So Lucky" was based around some piece from Beethoven or Mozart, can't remember which.
There is quite a few songs in popular music that have stolen from the classics which are now in public domain so stealing from them is perfectly legal.
Paul Simon has done it a couple of times.
