They were an excellent side. Shaw, Withe Morley, Cowans, Mortimer, McNaught, Rimmer (replaced by Spink in the EC final) etc etc. Managed by laughing boy Ron Saunders.Was a fine player, part of a really good Villa side.

I remember one of my first football memories was watching the vidiprinter in the early 80s and then Villa's score came up and it said Shaw 5 or might of been 4. I was only 7, 8 or 9 and I remember thinking what a player he must be. RIP Gary Shaw.So sad. My childhood hero.

RIP.Saw him and his band supporting Gladys Knight years ago , very entertaining.Tito Jackson died today too.
