The "which famous person died today" thread

But it wasn’t just that one song, as great as it was.

Judy Teen made No. 5.
Mr Soft, No. 8.
Here Comes The Sun, No.10.
Mr Raffles, No. 13.

R. I. P. Steve
Made a fortune on royalties for Come up and see me, huge Horse Racing supporter and he backed the winner of the 2000 Guineas Cockney Rebel at huge odds when he won at Newmarket in 2007.

The owner Phil Cunningham had to get permission from Steve Harley to name the horse and they became friends. Cunningham named all his horses after musical themes, Rebel Rebel being one of his first but after that Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Cigarettesanalcohol so a tenuous link to City.

Probably the man who's designs had the biggest influence on your driving life since the 90's but most will never have heard of him.

Marcello Giandini I salute you sir and your works. Thanks for everything and RIP.

When I was little I thought the Alitalia Lancia Stratos was the coolest thing in the world.

Another 70’s legend gone - Steve Harley of Cockney Rebel fame. Apparently lung cancer at 73.

Loved him & their music and they were a mainstay of my childhood. RIP

Wonder if him above said “Come Up & See Me (Make Me Smile)”?

He had one leg shorter than the other as I recall.
First thing I thought of when I read he'd passed.
RIP Steve.

Bloody hell, only.just seen this.
Well gutted :(
Knew he was from Prestatyn but didn't know he knocked around with members of The Alarm.
RIP Karl
