De La Soul were/are unique and the 3 feet high album was an absolute ground breaker. 54 is no age, I believe he had a long term heart condition but no confirmation of cause yet.

Had a bit of a session this afternoon, far better than watching rags. Cleaned up a dozen 12" ers and spun the lot back to back. Very sad but managed a smile several times.

I had all the singles in 89 on 12" and 3 feet high and rising.

Great tunes and still sound good today.
