from what i can remember he only played a few games,had a stormer in the 3-3 with newcastle,got injured and never played for us again

To be fair to Phillips he had no chance after Ball said what he said. Here we have a young, most likely gifted kid who all of a sudden has his dickhead manager proclaiming he will be Britains first £10m player. At that time then, and for his position, it meant he HAD to be better that Giggs, Kanchelskis and even Stuart fucking Ripley. He had no chance of making it.

I still go for Megson.
Megson was one of the better players for City at the time - he was getting on a bit, but when we first signed him he did well for us
 
no one's mentioned Trabelsi(or whatever his fuckin name was)don't think he was that bad but its another different name i suppose
