An earlier player that riled a few of us,who was,not the worst player ever but definitely has to be mentioned regarding City’s history, especially at the time,was Ian Bowyer he was so frustrating.Bought as a striker,slow and one sided. Many a Saturday we were going home pulling our hair out at Ians spurned sitters.He may have been the first bad buy on the spiral down from our heady heights as champions.

I remember watching Ian Bowyer with the ball in between his feet 12 inches from the line and failing to score. He went to Notts Forest and won the European cup and many medals with them and was their captain I think. He was a complete cart horse who somehow did well.

Maybe not the worst but the one who has annoyed me more than any other player in 50 yrs of watching City. Steven Macfuckingpointalot. I can't remember one occasion when he didn't completely piss me off. He has the same effect when I have seen him as a pundit.

The worst ever (well in my time anyhow, and i'm 31) was a young chap who i think was called Yassan Husein or something similar. I think he was a SP signing or possibly KK. But he only managed one appearance against Rotheram or some equally appalling team in the carling cup. and we got beat. if i remember right it was 04/05 season.

Anyway, and i mean this.... I could have played better than he did.

I always hated Creaney for being the player we swapped Walsh for. Ball really was a clueless twat. How could he have ever thought that would be a good move?

Barry Conlon is a legend in my uni house. Lived with a Bradford and Darlington fan and he played for both those teams as well as City. The Bradford fan says he's the worst they've ever had so that puts into some kind of perspective just how shit he is. We've turned him into a cult hero.

Rae Ingram always struck me as a bit shit.

Yeah in my (relatively) short City career, I'd have to say that McMinimum is the one that completely did my fucking head in.

I'll also nominate Darius Vassell post-Andy-Cole and Nery Castillo.
