The worst, tedious, dull, flat, lifeless, boring

Pasta - the only outcome that matters at the moment - is the result. 2-0 is a good result and it gives us the points. The team appreared rather subdued and the crowd were, in my opinion, rather complacent. Apart from Chelsea and Man U, there is not ONE team playing any better than us at the moment and who have the depth and strength of squad we have.
Let's just get behind the lads. I think I was the only person cheering in the entire Colin Bell stand today and thought that most fans were annoyed as missing out on the sunday roast!

I can understand people getting a bit stressed with City performances.

We were dire against Everton (lost 2-0).
Poor in the first leg vs Scum (should've lost 3-1 but won 2-1 thanks to dodgy penalty decision and poor Ushited finishing)
We were poor again in the second leg at the swamp (lost 3-1 but could have lost 5-1 easily)
and won today but played very poorly (again could easily have conceded 2 or more if Pompey could finish)

A bit harsh on the performances against the rags, but no doubt we were dire against everton
Oh come on! Are you saying we played well in either game? I understand the reason with our poor injury/absenses list but most of these are in defense and I thought it was midfield where we looked poorest (I'll give you Ireland being short of form/match fitness though and he was our best player by a mile last season). The games were exciting and the first leg result was reasonable in the circumstances but you can't say that the team performances in either were good.

Bored with this so I'm going to buck the trend.

I thought we were bloody magnificent today: the way we controlled the midfield and sprayed the ball about all over the park. Those brilliantly creative runs from the overlapping full-backs that gave our front pairings room to manouvre. The general attacking play from the whole team that made Arsenal look like a long-ball side.

This was football at its finest.

Eat your hearts out Brazil.

3 points are the only positives. I think the only bit of action apart from the goals was me calling this woman in front a silly cow, I've had enough of her shaking her head and giving evils out of the corner of her eye, she's been at it all fecking season. If anyone saw that I apologise if that distracted you from the game but she really does p*ss me off

In the Stevie Ireland post match interview on the official website a 1:03 he says "the fans are getting restless too which isn't helping". This is in relation to the fact that we were 2-0 up but not dominating the game.

It's a team game. The fans in the stadium are part of the team and can effect how we play. I was at the game and couldn't believe some of the nonsense I heard. What was telling was that there were a couple of young kids close to me who slagged off Garrido every time we lost the ball on the left side of the pitch. On almost every occasion it was barry or Ireland who lost the ball not Garrido!

In the same post match, Ireland talks about wanting teams above 4th to drop points because although 4th is the targets they would like to finish higher. This is the new manager instilling belief in the team and setting ambitious but achievable targets.

So the game may have been tedious, dull, flat, lifeless and boring in some peoples view but we are another 3 points on our way to a top 4 finish. Which is imperative if we want to bring real quality to the club and win things.

ITS point that win prizes im afraid, may be even grat teams have a bad game, come on guys give it a break, we are loads better than some of our past, the thing is ,its not untill after summer that bobby will be aboe to put his own brand out to play, so sit tight, dont cause waves just wait for the ride in the future, coz its gonna be better than ever,i truly believe where on the cusp of our greatist time in the clubs history.
tin hat in place.BRING IT ON!!!
