Not much of a game, but two good goals and, let's not forget, Arsenal won more than one Championship by boring the opposition into submission and winning by the only goal.

weve won 3 out of 4 games within 2 weeks and 2 of the games were against the current champions! another point is WE WON! we won proffesionally they did the job. we played pretty decent football just dinking it around most of the time il take that any day over hoof and run or shit were are our defenders goin hughes tactics so stop fucking MOANING!

A City fan who may have been old enough to see us play when we were always considered titles contenders, will tell you how we went to places like Leeds and simply hogged the ball broke their hearts and won 2-0. All I want this season is for us to finish top 4, because once champions league football is secured, the Riberys, Kjaer, Masric, Villa, Maicon, De Maria and Lahm's of this world will be more than happy to sign. Being a City fan I love the club, winning trophies is what we are looking to do. I want us to win, thats all, when we have a team that looks like

I can understand people getting a bit stressed with City performances.

We were dire against Everton (lost 2-0).
Poor in the first leg vs Scum (should've lost 3-1 but won 2-1 thanks to dodgy penalty decision and poor Ushited finishing)
We were poor again in the second leg at the swamp (lost 3-1 but could have lost 5-1 easily)
and won today but played very poorly (again could easily have conceded 2 or more if Pompey could finish)

The only ray of light in the last 5 was the Scunthorpe performance bang in the middle which was decent and an entertaining game. The main reason for this run of results is our injury list I believe, and today was just a hangover from the derby defeat. Hopefully next week we'll put in a good performance and still manage a win with a clean sheet.

We could have slipped up today after Wednesday's result, the players needed a lift and kicking off on a Sunday lunchtime v the bottom side isn't really going to inspire them or the fans. We have perhaps been spoilt over the past week with the atmosphere at the 2 derbies so today was well and truly a hangover. But we got the points, that is all that matters after Wednesday.
