Theo Walcott? ..

Ha some people just cant see what RM is trying to do..and thats add pace to our team. Milner and Kolorov are not the answer to the system he wants and this is where players like Walcott and Sinclair come in.

I`d take both which would cover both wings.

Strange how Walcott is stalling on a new deal at Arse. I think someone has been whispering in his ear that he can earn X amount more elsewhere..could be us.

Nobody is arguing that he doesn't have pace.
Peter Barnes had pace.
But 90% of his crosses ended up on the roof of the North Stand.
Walcott has the distribution of a blind postman,couldn't tackle a fish supper,and freezes on the big occasion.

Hmmm lets have a quick comparison with AJ who weve just sold for 12m

AJ: Matches 142 Goals 13 Assists 22

Walcott: Matches 151 Goals 26 Assists 26 (Not inc 7 goals and 8 assists in the chumps league)

Not saying hes the best crosser but whereas AJ gave us tricks and got us the odd penner Walcott will give us pace and goals. Like someone has already said imagine a slide rule pass through to him from Merlin or Nasri?
Plus i`d say the two best crossers we have are Milner and Kolorov and neither have had any affect in that area. We might get him,we might not but i think him and sinclair would both be good additions in terms of pace which were desperately lacking.

Not saying hazard isn't all that but against us in the comm shield he looked nothing special,he's also not come up against any cloggers yet so still a long way to go before we can form a proper opinion on him.

When you consider how few starts AJ gets & how often he only gets 5/10 mins. Add that to the fact he plays team football & pass & move with Silva & Co & is a Premier League champion, there is a strong argument for him being a better player in our team. Yet we have just got rid of him.

Why sign someone not as good ?

I would say that against us he was totally anonymous as was Mata. they will get found out when they come up against anyone decent.

Cheers and i hope so. Slightly better albeit a different player to AJ and twice as good as Sinclair.

Arnt Arsenal meant to be 'the best passing team in the league'? And have been for years? Walcott hasn`t exactly been a starter all the time either. Not knocking AJ. Liked his style of play and its a shame he wasn`t part of the plans but if we are looking at Walcott and Sinclair its pace were after and looking at some of our games its what we need.
