Very true, he is pretty composed in front of goal. I also think his crossing/final ball has become a fair bit better and more consistent over the last 12 months imo. Personally, I think with his pace and the quality of passing we have, he would tear teams apart late on in games as an impact sub. Not convinced at all that he will end up leaving Arsenal this window though. It'll be back to Sinclair in 24 hours imo.

His open play goal conversation from Big Chances percent last year was 46.6%. A Big Chance is a chance that somebody should be reasonably expected to score

Sinclair for example, was 57%.

The best midfielder in the league was Nani at 110% (i.e., he scored the same number that he was expected to, plus a couple out of nothing). Lampard is the second best with 100%.
The best City midfielder on this front is Silva with 60%

Walcott is absolutely not clincal

I didn't say he was clinical, I said he was pretty composed in front of goal. Stats don't tell you everything, I'd want to see the "big chances" he missed to properly judge whether his finishing was awful rather than just look at a percentage.

Stats like that don't mean much really. I mean who is the judge on what constitutes a 'big chance' and what doesn't? Where is the dividing line? It's just not as simple as that imo.

would rather have sinclair, just as quick, can pass the ball better, better crosses and a better end product

Better discipline in defensive duties as well. The one thing that annoyed me about Sinclair last season was how he was just doing what he was told. After coming off the back of a 20+ goals season I was looking forward to seeing him play but he didn't let it get to him and took his oppertunites when they came and with us they will come often.

Walcott is often blasted for his lack of defensive duties, very much like AJ in that respect with Mancini. Sinclair is a more sensible option for me. Just opinions though.

No comparison in terms of speed, Walcott is the fastest player in the league, Sinclair is slightly quicker than average.

I honestly dont know what would make people happy on here, Walcott is a current england international, he chips in with his fair share of goals and assists, he has a ton of EPL and CL experience, hes only 23 and is less then 15mil! Navas only got one assist more then Walcott but 6 goals less last year and is 3 or 4 years older! Walcott is the same age as sinclair but has more experience, more goals and assists last year plus is quicker. Walcott doesnt seem to have any problem beating his man his crossing isnt the best but he never really had a target man at arsenal.

so do we reckon the Sinclair deal has stalled because of the contract news with walcott?

that's how i see it anyway!

Imagine a combination of Dzeko and Walcott against teams that park the bus.
