Theo Walcott? ..

I'd av Sinclair over Walcott think the fight has gone out of Walcott plus he gets injured all the time and he'll be around 12m dearer

I thought money was tight...we had to slash the wage bill / not pay over the odds in transfer fees ? We've been chasing Sinclair for weeks and now seem to be haggling over 1/2 million or £1 million extra and now people want us to go in for Walcott who would cost more and be on a bigger wage than Sinclair or Johnson who we let go.

Atleast this rumour reminded me of this very nice meme hahaha

I'd take him over Sinclair every day of the fucking week. There's a reason that at almost exactly the same age Walcott's got 28 caps for England whereas Sinclair has never had a sniff
yeah the reason is one belongs to arsenal and the other one plays for a small club. this is england and play for a big club you have big chance to get picked. there is a reason why arsenal is not willing to match his 100k wage demand. he's not worth it and we are making the biggest mistake with another arsenal player. they ripped us big time with adebayor, nasri was way too expensive and walcott will fail here big time

Oh aye and why does one play for arsenal and the other at a small club? Cos one of them couldn't cut it at a big club so had to drop a league whereas the other could

Couldn't cut it at a big club.

When Sinclair was at Chelsea what fucking chance did he have to get in the team when Abramovich was hoovering up players.

Sinclair is better than Walcott with the ball and without. He can't match his pace but he's not far off.

City got the best side of the deal with Nasri and Clichy, about right with Kolo (he was good) and stiffed with Adebayor.

Walcott is better than Sinclair and Johnson and anything around £15million would be a great buy.

It is absolutely crazy people are saying no to this. He is what this team doesn't have, AT ALL. And people saying he doesn't pass, the guy had 13 assists last season for crying out loud. and to top it all of HE"S 23!!.

Seriously we complain all summer about no transfer dealings, then we get linked with a player of Walcott's ability and we laugh it off.

Make your minds up blues....were not signing MESSI

I'm not sure money is tight, but it's just a matter of having clearly defined business rules.

Sure, it's just '500K' more (or whatever it turns out to be).... but again, it's the slippery slope. If 500K more is ok on 6M transfer.... is 3M more ok on a 30M transfer?

Either the club has policies or it doesn't. And if you say ok to 500K more today, then the next time you go to Swansea, it's 1M more...
Not only that, now their chairman is using the media to negotiate the deal, that makes it HARDER for us to budge... 'cos other clubs are watching.

Liverpool / Rodgers pulled away from the Gylfi wotsit deal under similar circumstances. They had a price, thought it was agreed - then said NO when the price went up. They did the right thing.

To quote someone from twitter..."surely Man City have enough Arsenal clubcard points to get Walcott for free by now"

Bollocks. You can't say that because sinclair has never been playing at the same sort of level as walcott. When walcott was playing champions league football and scoring against barcelona sinclair was a bit part player for wigan

Some of you have gone way OTT in trying to justify the sinclair transfer and seem to have klidded yourselves into thinking that he's quite good
