Cars are not intended to kill are they. Manufacturers have improved safety and cars are safer than ever before and deaths are down despite record numbers on the road.So you still ignore the 30,000 car deaths?
Like I said, any needless death is tragic but you cannot stop the right of say 300 million people to stop driving just because of 30,000 + deaths..... Same with guns. Same with swimming pools.
I can find just as many stories where having a gun has saved people from being raped, killed.....
Cars are a necessity for personal travel. Guns are not a necessity are they? How many times have you needed to drive somewhere? How many times have you, or anyone you know had to resort to using your firearm?
I bet you can't find just as many articles where a gun has saved someone from as I can find that some innocent person has been wrongly shot (usually by your police).
