At last we have a governement in touch with the people of its country.
It is laughable to think anyone would believe this is a realistic set of policies that a Tory controlled government would put in place.
This is the same tory party who have done their best to -
1. Stop spending on the NHS - the use of "real term" supports this. Senior member has gone on record stating the NHS is the biggest catastrophe this country has ever undertaken. The NHS is fucked, as is our health.
2. Stop spending on schools, especially those in poor areas. The reduction of class sizes for schools in poor areas - is a tory policy of reducing class sizes - added to a libdem acknowledgement that people from poor backgrounds are monumentally more disadvantaged than those who went to all the schools the Tories went to.
It has been and will continue to be a Tory policy to cut spending on Education, and rely on private spending for schools (and universities) - this was what the Big Society was supposed to be about - and this results in rich parents funding rich schools, and schools in poor areas dieing - creating crime etc etc.etc.
3. Prevent a "New tax on financial transactions"!! haha - the Tories taxing their main supporters and funders. The Conservative Party rely on the speculative financial sector - their driving ideology is free trade/ free market radicalism - a tax on financial sector and cap on bonuses would surmount to the Tories not being Tories. The tories have and continue to support the freedom of the markets and no regulation whatsoever.
This is all on the presumption the Tories will dominate the coalitiion. which I think they will. Unfortunately, our jobs our going to be lost, crime will go up, our health will suffer - but atleast the financial sector will survive - and the bankers can continue to overaccumulate profits which theyre not taxed on. cos thats what its all about right?!
ps. the ID card scrapping is good.
