Okay I have bumped this thread in light of the recent developments with Guardiola being rumoured to have agreed to come to our club.

The reason for the bump is that earlier in the week when Bayern played Baca in the CL, the TV commentary team were discussing Thiago and stated that he has said "Wherever Pep goes, I Go"

I though it a strange thing to say at the time but didn't read too much into it. If Pep arrives then Thiago may well follow ??
Guarantee Bayern slaps a healthy price tag on him in this scenario, given that his contract is till 2017... That being said his agent is Pere Guardiola so maybe they pull a Yaya and try to force his way out.
If Pep comes, so will he. Most Bayern fans see him as Peps boy anyway. And they are not too cool with him benching Goetze anyways. If the Pep thing is real, this is almost a certainty. Hopefully he brings Bernat too.
Add Pogba, and Sterling and its a wrap.

I always liked the lad... a very neat player.
I wonder though, how much more he has in him, how much better he can become?

Think we can add De Bruynne and Firminio to that list according to reports tonight, would be a sweet summer: )

I think he's been pretty much injured for a year as well so got to be some question marks around his fitness.

If Pogba were to decide to go elsewhere he would be a good option and a midfield of Wilshere, Thiago with Fernandinho holding would suit his style of play with Silva wide left and sterling wide right.

I would love this lad here, he's Bayern's best midfielder in my opinion.

This is the guy that kept getting mugged in his own half by Barca the other night ? We want another one of those to add to our collection ?

Not exactly his best performance on Wednesday. He's usually a lot better than that. It's probably worth pointing out that Pirlo was just as guilty of the same thing the preceding night.

I wouldn't fancy either in the centre of our midfield in the Premier League tbh. Pirlo just showed what would most likely happen to him over here. Thiago to me just played exactly like he always has when I've seen him. Some nice touches, some shite. Isco was always miles better imo & I don't have the same adulation for him as some do.

If Pep does come, shoehorning Thiago into our midfield msy be the price we have to pay. I imagine Bayern will drop him like a stone if Pep goes & he'll end up here. Perhaps Pep could make it work in the Prem. I doubt anyone else could.

I don't think we would sign him, looking at our other midfield targets, besides, Bayern will have plenty of suitors if they try and get rid. Don't forget the lads not long back from a long term injury and should step up a few gears as he gets more minutes under his belt. If we're to sign anyone from Bayern though, Alaba, Martinez and Mueller would be the only ones I'd want, a lot of their squad are declining or massively overrated. Götze would be interesting but for me he's only effective in the hole. Silva has a good few years left in that position and is on a level I can't see Götze ever reaching now.
