I think pep will move for Thiago when other clubs interest is flushed out and a fee is confirmed
Like when Bayern dicked united for him last time
Can’t see pep wouldn’t want him

Good player, but I can't see it unless Pep thinks he's better than Gundogan as a #6. I think we have enough players who can slot into the dual #8's. KDB, double Silvas, Foden and Gundogan if needed, plus I wouldn't rule out Mahrez playing there if need be.
 
Gundogan isnt a number 6. Whoever it is has to get stuck in.... I always get the feeling he is thinking of his injury when he goes in for a tackle. Understandable but not what we need right there.

Thiago would be good. Would love Pep to bring him.

Neither is Thiago, yet Pep played Gundogan there last season on a few occasions. So the point is unless he's better than Gundogan at playing there we don't need him.

Jorginho is less defensive than Gundy.

Thiago would be equally as ineffective as Gündogan as a 6. Which isn't to say they can't play there but if you don't like Gundo there you won't like Thiago there either.
 
I’m sure we are trying to develop our own “Number 6” but between now and then, we need a stop gap to Fernandinho. If Pep sees that player(s) in the current squad, great! If not, then we need to spend money to secure the heart of our team.

Personally, I think we have the player(s) needed, but certainly wouldn’t sniff at a quality buy in the 22-25 year old age range.
 
Bit left field, we haven't been linked with him and he isn't young but I'd honestly rather we hit up Arturo Vidal on a 3 yr contract. All action like Fernandinho but with some sublime technique. His style would be perfectly suited to the prem as well. That then gives us time to bring through the next young replacement for when Fernandinho hangs up his boots. Not all our signings need to be 22 years old if the quality is there and they fill a need, just so long as we don't overpay.
