I think thin lizzy were a great band.I know phil lynott was man u supporter but he wrote some great songs

whisky in the jar is one of my favourite songs although its not their own work its by far the best version if it

dont know a lot of their other stuff to be honest

My Boy by Philomena Lynott. Well worth a read if you get a chance.
She used to run a hotel in Whalley Range which was used by various entertainers when they were performing in Manchester.
You have to wonder what Leslie Crowther thought when his daughter brought Phil home and said they were going to get married. Although, from memory, I think Leslie stood by his son in law right up to the end.

Phil Lynott actually taught an old mate to play the guitar (always refered to him as his prodigy) and also a little known fact :-) this prodigy went on to teach Bluemoons very own 'Dabs' to play too, that's some pretty fine pedigree to have.
