Young lads walking the streets singing ‘all join up for football’ and they’d put their arms round the shoulders of the lads next to them. As they got more lads joining up it got louder and there’d be loads of them in a line, and when they got enough lads they’d get off to the park for a game.



We used to do this at kids and be singing it at the top of our voices round the steeets because it saved time having to knock on for people. Plus lads you didn’t really know could join in if they wanted.

We copied this off older lads than us, and as we got older we’d see the next lot of younger kids doing it. Don’t see it anymore though.
