we didnt need an improvment on savic , we needed an immediate improvment on lescott (thiago silva)

tevez isnt a world class striker , he hardly score

garcia and rodwell are average players , we were needing a world class deep lyng playmaker , they are not

sinclair = AJ

maicon is the only one true improvment if he'll can stay fit

Sorry mate but by saying then Tevez can hardly score shows you havent got a clue about City and probably football for that matter. Nastasic will be direct competiton for Lescott and will take his place in the not too distant future. the days of us spending mega money on players is long gone so for the money we spent the players we brought in are of a good quality.

this season tevez so far has played 648 mins scoring 4 goals = hardly scoring

nastasic I HOPE WITH ALL MY HEART will definitely replace lescott as soon as the next game , i'm worried becouse mancini doesnt played him vs arsenal. maybe he really still is too young and not the finished product we absolutely needed.

if (and i hope not) the days of us spending big money are finished we will be the next 1992-1993 newcastle
Really. So four goals is hardly scoring. If he carries on at this rate he'll score 34 goals this season.

Joleon is a very good and underrated player.

And were Newcastle even in the top division that season?

You're talking bollocks in this thread.

And Newcastle didn't win a single trophy in that period. Not one. We've won two in two years.

i'm sorry i confused newcastle with blackburn

It's all gone mammaries skywards since we released Hargreaves! Haven't you noticed how many players have picked up 'injuries' and taken a couple of weeks off, loafing around on the treatment table vacated by the big OH. He hasn't been inadequately replaced and I blame Mancini.

I am disappointed with the start, ok, but I trust Mancini, and feel sure he will sort this out. I also agree with the poster. The squad is stronger.

We may well , argueably , have a stronger squad than last season , but right now they look like strangers ....... they are underperforming , disjointed , and lacking 'togetherness' .... and we better hope that all three return soon before the Premiership pacesetters get too far away from us !

I'm none too sure that ANY of the five signings have genuinely 'improved' us , but time will tell.

In my opinion we're slightly stronger than we were last season, but only marginally, whereas our two main rivals have signed the two players who would have made us immense this season and probably guaranteed another title; RvP and Hazard. On top of that the shit have signed a top class midfielder in Kagawa, and Chelsea spent about another £50m on top of Hazard. This effectively makes us significantly weaker relative to the opposition than we were last year. We've stood still and let the others catch up.

Garcia may be a good signing, he seems ok so far, same with Nastasic. Rodwell is an average mid-table signing, Sinclair is underwhelming. Maicon in my opinion is an odd one as we have Richards & Zab who are both younger and better.

I really think not getting a world class signing in the summer has lowered morale around the club, particularly Mancini's. If we'd got one of RvP, Hazard, Falcao, Bale or someone of that ilk we may well be flying now. Shame we didn't use the momentum and glory of winning the title to entice another top class player instead of the last day 'supermarket sweep' of 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice randoms.
