So the answer is no then ? You wouldn't like me to explain why I think Arsenal fans are all hypocrites.
You could always show me examples of City fans demonstrating the same behaviour, otherwise I'll take it you just want to stick your fingers in your ears and hum.

It's not a question of yes or no. It's stating the bleeding obvious which is that making wholesale generalisations about Arsenal fans or any other group of fans for that matter is wrong. You might be able to refer to a specific incidence of hypocrisy as you call it of an individual or individuals but to attribute it to a whole class of fans is nonsense. You argue from a self proclaimed position of moral superiority not warranted and based upon a logical fallacy I.e. the actions of a few can be ascribed to the many.

If you cannot understand that, that's your problem, not mine.

i wouldnt bother mate, this stony guy is going to respond with 1 of 2 things containing either

- that arsenal fans are hypocrites
- or about buying class banner

he's banged on about 1 of them 2 things in almost every post.

The jibe that 'you can't buy class' is not something I have ever said, referred to or even been aware off.

If he resents that jibe, it's not mine mate, criticise elsewhere.

You seem to be getting a bit tetchy. Another typical gooner trait when things aren't going their way(that was a joke btw before you get your knickers well and truly in a twist)
I've never claimed City fans have any kind of moral superiority, all clubs have fans which do them no credit. I was however giving my honest opinion on a particular trait I've found in Arsenal fans. Every club has hypocritical fans, but Arsenal have a disproportionate number imo.
If you don't like the opinion of a city fan on a city forum, then I would suggest it's very much your problem and not mine.

not at all because first of all this is the general part of the forum for all football fans not just city fans. city fans don't physically own this forum, and unless the mods want to ban us we have just as much right to register and talk/discuss/argue football related matters. if however the people that DO own this forum, don't want other fans on here and don't want people disagreeing with city fans arguments and views, then yes go ahead and ban us all.

its highly unlikely you've met enough arsenal fans or football fans in general of different clubs to be able to ascertain that arsenal fans are the disproportionately bad.

it is our forum, it's owned by a City supporter, modded by City supporters and used predominantly by City supporters.

We offer you our grace to come on and discuss things with us, but you know the line and if you don't like it you can lump it.

This isn't an independent forum, so stop swannying about with this sense of entitlement like you own the place or have the right to be here, you don't, you're here at the discretion of City supporters, so whilst you're entitled to your opinion know who you're talking to and know your place.

What Walcott did was much worse than Adebyor because it wasn't the heat of the moment type thing
Scoring a goal is quite an adrenalin rush and can then incite you to become less than sensible
Being carried off on a stretcher would have give Walcott the time to weigh up his actions and he certainly made a poor choice, his was the worst abrogation of thought

What's worse?

The action or the reaction?

I'd say in most cases, the former as it represents the provocation.

Your argument above has been moulded to support your opinion but has no rational basis to it, because its based upon assumptions not backed by fact.
Hence it being an opinion, or would you like me to put IMO, at the end of each post?

Just like your response is your opinion and is equally devoid of any fact, therefore I may as well ignore it then?

Do you want some salt with that?

Fair enough, I do feel there was more logic to my reasoning, but then I would, wouldn't I?

really don't get why you and other fans can't see some very obvious differences between what ade did and what theo did?

for a start, theo isn't a ex spurs player rubbing it in their face like ade did.

secondly, ade running the length of the pitch to celebrate and taunt arsenal fans is slightly different to walcott just signalling the score whilst on a stretcher, and whilst happening to be at the away end anyway.

2 totally different actions.
So Spurs are not your main rivals then ?
A policewoman knocked out cold.
I would say worst scenes at your ground tonight.

i wasn't talking about teams. i said that ade is a ex arsenal player so scoring against us and then taunting us like that is going to incite idiots more.

for example i'm going to be more wound up by rvp scoring against us then rubbing it in our face then i would if rooney did exactly the same thing.

theo is not a ex spurs player so such a minor gesture shouldn't have wound up the spurs fans anywhere near as much.

also theo was not even 10% as animated and wild as ade was, pointing out the score is no different to the old fingers to the mouth shhh celebration, its basically a very mild form of taunting. if you saw theo today he couldn't have looked more laid back and relaxed if he tried, it was obvious that it was meant as just a bit of banter, nothing more.

either way the bottom line is its ridiculous, football fans are pathetic if they can't take that, and i include arsenal fans as well.

im expecting stony to reply to this saying arsenal are being hypocrites so thought i'd mention that as well.
You keep mentioning that Adebayor is an ex Arsenal player but dont mention that what Walcott did was in your biggest game of the season against your biggest & hatred rivals.
So tell me what is the difference ?

And I didn't quote your post, you may notice that I posted singularly
It was quoted by Blue Hefner, he had a differing opinion to mine, but I gave him the courtesy of not responding with a condescending sneer

If that's the case, why do you assume it's aimed at you?

I'd say Chelsea is more likely. There really isn't any great animosity for City from Arsenal fans, so I do find much of the stuff in this thread a bit difficult to understand. Arsenal fans would much prefer you guys to win the title than Chelsea or Man Yoo.

Presumably you weren't one of those waving ££££ at City fans last January then?

If Spurs fans(who booed him when injured) can't take a bit back then there is something wrong with them. What he did isn't worse than what Adebayor did, they were both players giving it back to fans who had been giving them stick.

Not a lot in either really
Yep exactly this. If you can't take it don't dish it out.

-- Sun Jan 05, 2014 12:03 am --

Arsenal fans really crack me up. They would Know all about money given the fact that arsenal are basically robbing them with their ticket prices.
