This weekends other Prem Games 7th & 8th December

One of football's great mysteries is how Sunderland play like men possessed and defend like titans against City, then make calamitous mistakes against everyone else.

I mean, it's like we've done something to offend them. We aren't Newcastle.

I think it might have something to do with 3 ex United players in their starting 11, who treat every match against City like a cup final.

We were great today and Chamakh, who has given everything for us, may actually get some credit. Everyone here knows how biased MOTD highlights are and they have made it seem like Chamakh has not been up for the fight. Yes he ducked one challenge against Stoke, but apart from that he has run himself into the ground for the club. Putting his head anywhere and everywhere, linking up playing and making lots of tackles. The whole team played really well and Ward is probably the biggest surprise for us.

It's a shame all the other teams near us won.

LOL.
That put a smile on my face, but we really could have done with Stoke and Norwich losing today against supposedly better opposition. United are such a joke. The Jedi was everything Feillani was bought to be today.

Maybe they're unhappy about us offloading AJ onto them!

It's not that much of a mystery. Not so long ago they would have regarded themselves as bigger than us, yet here we are now amongst the top clubs in Europe, shitting on teams regularly. It's expected they, and other teams, will try harder against such a club as ours. Pretty sure Chelsea saw themselves on the receiving end of such performances when they embarked on their ascent to footballing glory, our 1-0 win over them in 2004 being a prime example.

Clubs will play like men possesed against us because until we learn how to counteract it gives them a great chance of getting a result.

At home we've won a lot of games before kick off. Not so much away yet, and that gives opponents hope.
