This weekends other Prem Games 7th & 8th December

Villa haven't turned up for this game. Benteke looks useless. Wanted Villa to win this.

There was a clamour for us to sign Benteke, but some of us warned about second season syndrome and whether he could be a one hit wonder (unlike Lukaku)!

I'm not sure if he's a one hit wonder, but he's been very poor this season and I'd have Dzeko ahead of him all day long at the moment.

Fulhams new ex rag manager getting customary penalties already.
Not seen the replay but in real time it looked like a coming together, with the Fulham player instigating it with his shoulder. Ref was miles away too.

Harsh, but the defender HAS to be a lot wiser there, get goal side and block sight of goal, Kalaniclic (sp) was going too wide.
He had knackered it up with a bad touch.

Any pubs around Wythenshawe Forum show the football?

Try the Tudor Tavern in Peel Hall, you might see Mario!

Ha ha, he better get a round in.

Wonder if Quinn knows what he's actually talking about. Banging on about it being a clumsy, rather than malicious challenge and that the penalty was therefore harsh. So; a clumsy challenge isn't a penalty any more then? FWIW, I thought it was a penalty. The defender got on the wrong side of the Fulham player and their legs got tangled up. Very similar to Anderson's challenge on Micah in the 6-1.

Half decent game, just. Berbatov playing well.
Must be a right stress-free club to play for, Fulham. More or less guaranteed there will bev3 worse clubs than them, so rarely a serious relegation fight. Never expected to finish in any European spot, and any mud table finish is just insignificant. Add to that a whopping wage, must be a players dream to play there at the tail end of a career.

fulham already 2 up and in 2 weeks we play them...watch them then fight for their lifes and having the game of their life....
I saw a bit of them against Tottenham and seen the first half today. They are a completely different side and playing great football, which is a shame for us. The relegation battle looks like it will be Stoke, West Ham, Norwich, Sunderland and us primarily. Fulham too good not to get out of it.

However, it shows how meaningless it is to compare the progression of a team based on the results of last year. Fulham were shocking up until now, but they look pretty good. A team getting a result against Fulham now needs to play very well. The collapse of United should give us another indicator. Last season it was very difficult to get points from United, not this season.

Thought the pen was very harsh, but Fulham deserve their lead. Berbatov has been brilliant. Out of all the players I have seen at Selhurst, Berbatov and Ozil are the two silkiest. A Tottenham fan mentioned making a bid for him and if he was motivated would be the perfect player for them, but he must be enjoying the football under the new manager so far.

He was brilliant before he got injured. He hasn't found any rhythm after that.
