This weekend's premiership games (including predictions)

Chelsea look very, very impressive. No knee jerk reaction. They have put together an exceptional young squad, who can all improve together and play a similar style of football. Torres showing signs of returning to his old form. The goals will help his confidence.

Still think this year is too early for Chelsea, but they definitely have the most promising team.

Yes Hazard's form will dip, but then they have Oscar, Marin and Moses to bring in to help things out.

If Terry plays for them he will continue to weaken them though. He has declined a lot and his off the field problems have really effected his game. Lampard as well, though not to the same extent holds the team back. The thing that Chelsea have done so well is they have created two teams where everyone was on the same page. This is what Mancini wants at City.

Chelsea's bench today: Turnbull, Ramires, Lampard, Romeu, Sturridge, Essien, Oscar

Unavailable: Terry, Marin, Moses

They still want a marquee striker.

And people talk about us having 'too many players' and being unable to keep them happy? Chelsea are going to have quite a few serious players sat in the stands soon.

Top clubs don't seem to care if they make a few big names unhappy by having them sit in the stands (Berbatov and Nani today also) yet we're constantly targeted for this when we only usually have one big name left off the bench at most.

Chelsea have been fairly decent but not had a huge test yet. You would expect them to have won all three of the games they have played so far.

Swansea and everton can be very pleased with the starts they have made.

Those 25 points Chelsea were behind us at the end of last season will be closed but by how much?

30 at this rate

Everything has just fallen for them since the mutiny against AVB

Still champs though :)
any one remember the start they had under big Phil?
Yes and Scolari like AVB was screwed by trying to change their style too quickly. He was also hurt by their failure to get Robinho to change his style.

Di Mateo on the other hand is lucky in that the old guard no there time is over. Drogba going was the biggest sign of it. So he won't have the fight AVB had. The whole team is built to play the style of football he wants, where as this was not the case for Scolari. As I said before don't think Chelsea are quite ready to beat United and City often enough, with their new style to win the league, but they will be close. If their other signings hit the ground running and Terry/Lampard gracefully accept being dropped then who knows.

Di Mateo is just lucky full stop. A piss poor manager at WBA he must be pinching himself

It really is like RA is playing FM after a few pints, remains of the kebab on one side, shouting "I want that one! I want that one! I want that one!"
