This weeks Champions League matches.

God, I hate CL football. Absolute dog shit, again. Think I might give the rest of the tournament a miss, even when I get the result I wanted I'm still annoyed and bored! HOw shit was Rooney though? In full on England tournament mode tonight

A Manchester/ red Madrid combined team would look like...

Courtois
Zaba Kompany Godin Luis
Fernandinho
Koke Yaya
Silva
Costa Aguero

Subs, Hart, Juanfran, Miranda, Gabi, Navas, Turan, Villa

Nasri, Dzeko, Negredo and Diego all unlucky not to get in. Difference is red Madrid's fitter.

Made up for Atleti, would love them to go all the way. Made all the sweeter by who they knocked out. Simeone is on the cusp of not just edging into greatness but kicking the bloody door in.

If he wins La Liga and the Champions League it will go down as one of the greatest acheivements in football in my opinion.

I love City to bits but watching the passion the Atletico lads put in every game they play in I could only dream about City doing the same, if we had their workrate and passion we would win a treble if you ask me and possibly a quad.

Atletico are a reminder that football is a team game and going out buying the best individuals is pointless if you can't get them playing with a die hard mentality for the club.

Kompany, Zabaleta and Hart are our only standouts if you ask me.
Before you start throwing comments about like that Sam wait till the end of the season to see IF they do win anything and IF we win the Prem.Small word IF but incredibly significant.

Your posts put fucking years on me Sam Cardiac

I don't watch Atletico so cannot comment on them, but it's amazing what a great job Simeone is doing. The facts don't lie, he has them top of the league and in the semi's of the CL with a real chance of winning it. Fantastic job.

As for the Bayern game, I could not here what the pundits said, but great to see Bayern go through. They played a crazy formation at the start which did not help matters, but once Rafinha came on and Lahm moved into midfield things looked a lot more balance.

One thing that was almost guaranteed was Muller scoring the decisive goal. It's uncanny how he always shows up in the big moments. Probably would have got the winner at Old Trafford if he had stayed on. Simply a player you can never take off.

Gotze is struggling once again to fit into the new Bayern formation, but considering where he was played today not really his fault.

1) They are not "red Madrid" at all. They are Atleti, Atletico, Club Atletico de Madrid or Los Rojiblancos but they are definitely NOT "r*d Madrid."
2) That team sheet is wrong.

Just back from boozer.

To be fair united sort of defended well till they went 1 nil up Thinking they're going to fucking nick this I went for a cig, I hadn't even sparked it up when I heard the groan..... just laughed.

-- Wed Apr 09, 2014 10:43 pm --

Just back from boozer.

I have no clue about Atletico to know how accurate that team is or is not. Care to give your opinions? I know a lot of Chelsea fans consider Courtois to be already better than Cech.

As soon as Bayern scored I made a comment about how Mourinho had made sure his players remained focus and stuck to the game plan. It's something that Moyes either did not or the players did not pay attention to.
