This Weeks other PL Fixtures Week 6

After 2 games LOL

I remember a certain Patrick Berger scoring 5 in 4 games for the Dippers, he turned out World Class didn't he....

Martial is better than Bony

Martial could turn out better Sterling

Lets see at the end of season how things will turn out and I will be glad to see Bony prove me wrong.

More important to them, sure. Because they had no decent strikers. We bought Sterling even though we were already reasonably strong in his position, and then brought someone even better to compliment him. So yeah, he's more important to them than Sterling is to us, and that's a good thing.

As for Bony, his goalscoring hasn't been good enough since he joined us, but he's had quite a lot of games where he's played very well and contributed to wins without scoring. But again, we're talking about a player that's not even in our first team most of the time. I'm glad we're going through a period where their best striker is being compared to our backup striker.

But yeah, give him a few games. The real test of a striker comes when opponents have had a chance to analyse your game. To claim he's better than someone with the goalscoring record of Bony after two games is ridiculous.

I am not comparing records, I am comparing their style of play, skills and abilities.

Roberts and Kelechi could turn out better than Martial.

I thought i would offer my opinion on Martial for what it's worth. He has certainly got off to a good start and is offering them a lot more than Rooney does up front. What i would say is lets see how he develops and judge him in Feb - March time. There are numerous examples where strikers come into a side and look exceptional however what makes class players is their ability to adapt. Defenders and managers will be looking at him now as their main threat and looking how to nullify him. For example it is clear from his 3 goals so far that he likes to come in from the left hand side and place the ball low to the keepers left hand side. Once patterns start to appear they can be addressed. just look at Kane at Spuds this year compared to last, sure some of it is down to form but a lot is to do with how teams set up to handle him. Very similar to Negrado made an instant impact before fading ( injury also contributing ) and how opposition teams feel better seeing Navas with the ball at his feet in the 18 yard box than seeing him on the bench :)

Fuuny that today for the first time I heard him called "United's new £58 million pound striker" They must have been briefed by the rags that they believe he wont flop.

Aye, yet to impress. Although in different positions and not comparable as players KDB managed to impress more yesterday than Sterling has in any game yet.

You can not compare what any of them done and say it's the exact same. There's so many factors which differentiate. The pace of which they struck the ball being one, the way they shaped their bodies to make the keepers make a decision is another, the timing of when they actually released the ball and hit the shot compared to the keeper's positioning is another. Need I go on? You can not say they done the exact same thing because even if they did the circumstances were undoubtedly different.

Except he just ran through & put the ball in the same place, at the same pace, as Sterling did & because it's the done thing to slag off Sterling, it's a mistake for him to finish like that acording to experts, then this kid does the same, it goes in because the keeper dives the wrong way (even though the kid has shown him the finish v Liverpool) & it's suddenly Gerd Muller perfection to put the ball there. The keeper dived the wrong way or he would have saved it. The earlier goal, he took far too long shifting the ball, got it half stuck under his foot & was allowed to score. Not a goal a striker would normally be allowed to score, & certainly not any chance our players would have been given that time & space in any of our games so far.

On the basis of these two moments & a very good goal by him v Liverpool (again atrocious defending), & 200 other mins of stumbling nonentity, you & one or two others are bulling him up, whilst dumping on one of our own, who has been a key player in our great start to the season.

You have nowhere near enough evidence to do that, but are going for it anyway.

If it was Danny Wellbeck, James Wilson, Hernandez, Macheda, you would have had just as much reason to also say it about them.

Let's hope he doesn't do this eh ?

I love how you talk about evidence after rambling on about how sterling would have scored against the defences Martial has played against and Martial would have missed against West Ham and Juventus.

You genuinely don't seem to realise how absurd that sounds. Just think about it eh?

In your eyes he's stumbled and the balls got caught between his legs. In everyone else's he's remained composed and waited for the defender to slide in and get nowhere.

Sterling scored a goal against Watford but if that was bayern Munich then he wouldn't have scored because their defence wouldn't have left him like that, so it doesn't count. Do you realise how ridiculous that sort of shite sounds?
