The original song is an old Ukranian folk song, the band The Wedding Present did a class cover of it for a John Peel session.

Yeah, it's got a sort of 'folky' sound to it. A bit like 'El Condor Pasa' by Simon and Garfunkel.


Good song though.

Haha I did this to a copper at Anfield about 5 years ago as he was chucking some bloke out! he looked and said "you're next son"! twat!
 
I used to sing this with a few pissed up mates in the 80's coming back from away matches
(to Mull of Kintyre)
